Just wedged an exacto blade around the edge of the nose on each side. I actually also used my nail at times to push down on the top of the nose plug as it stuck out just enough. Eventually it just popped right out.

I have a new pack of exactos - will (gently) give it a shot. Someone mentioned how they "unlocked" the swinging helmet visor on their SSC Scout quite easily but when I went to do it, mine had a lot more superglue. It was really, really hard to do it. Hope my Vader nose is one of the lesser glued ones.:lol

I'm considering a solution to the too-small/thin HT chestbox also - seeing if maybe the SSC ESB one can be cast and tweaked to be more ANH.
 
I'm not crazy about the too thick belt boxes (from the batteries, but maybe it's accurate), now I have to worry about a too thin chest box! :gah:

my darth vader came with this part or his helmet next to the grill unpainted did anyone recieved him like this? Should i complain with bbts?
