This figure like the SS Hoth figures benefits from some shadowing around the eyes. I'm pretty sure I'd be happy with that on my shelf. Will still try and hold out for a 20% off code--maybe around the time of TFA.

The shadows definitely bring out the Guinness likeness much more.

There is Hope...

Wow, that does look good under that lighting

It passes the man in robes test for sure. The shadows hide the imperfections on the sculpt. The sunken squint of his agressive stare is hidden in those photos making the good parts of the sculpt stand out.

Those pics from SV are a good representation of how the figure will look on the shelf. All of the macro shots are really going to bring out and accentuate the parts of the sculpt that is off obviously. That turtleneck is still abhorrent and the stitching is just bad. They could have done better on that and the thickness of the robes.

Thanks for the pics though stealth they are making the figure look much more pleasing.

I think we're seeing the key factor in getting Guiness out of this fig.:lol

With hood up at a 3/4-profile view under my Dioder lighting this figure will rock. The harsh lighting really does do the trick, like with HT Han. It reveals the ultra-detail in the sculpt too, which really brings out the "real human being" vibe, far more than any SSC sculpt could.

Why are there so few pics of the lit saber?:gah:

"Your destiny lies along a different path of your mind"

Awesome pic sir.well done!

Don't get me wrong hot toys have made a really really good head sculpt but I still don't see Ben. He always looked wind swept in star wars maybe this was him dressed up for his wedding day

Agreed. This sculpt has always been a bit more Samurai Ben than Crazy Old Wizard Ben.

Its still a bad sculpt, any fully lit photo is going to expose that headsculpt for what it is. Half his head is shadowed out in the pics as will Para's wait and see.

I've taken one with the sculpt fully lit just for you ;)

(And it isn't a bad sculpt.)
