Too pale. Needs more boozer red in the cheeks and on nose. Irises are too big. Eyes should be slightly rounder and smaller. Mustache should be different color.

I just noticed that the spring is broken on his left shoulder :( Actually I noticed the right shoulder pad was spring loaded and noticed the problem with the left by comparison. It still looks fantastic but it feels like it has this big blemish now, except it's nothing you can see and functionally the shoulder pad still rotates and stays wherever I put it. Anyone else have a figure with a shoulder(s) like this?

Where the hell are you? Iron Man?

I was hoping to have Hot Toys Bespin Luke borrow the upcoming ANH Luke's light up saber once in a while, but I guess the elbow attachments are different on these figures, so it probably won't work.

what technology were people expecting so that they could have a little tiny isolated lightsaber that lit up all by itself? there is no such technology... certainly you didn't expect a toy company to come up with it?

Some detolf pics of obi wan

Great looking pics. :duffs

The shadows covering his eyes seem to help the likeness. Was a bit wary on picking this figure up but I think I will once SSC gets him in.

Is there no way of making his collar fold thinner?

Anyone getting this Obi-Wan and also have Shaak Ti, Aayla or any of the Sideshow PFs with the new lightsabers? I'm curious how they compare. I'm already thinking the Hot Toys version is better just because it won't be as fragile. And going from one video I've seen so far is still very bright.

I would definitely like to see how that looks. The real Obi doesn't have such textured robes (even without the sheerness).

Yeah in the movie his robes look like a burlap sack texture that the SS robes have. The Hot Toys robes look too much like prequel Obi Wan, but I do like the patches.

The idea of the patches is a great detail -- the realization of the patch on nearly see-thru material is less effective. Looks like a square.

His inner robes seem to match the real thing quite well. Isn't it better they are thinner rather than too thick as is often the 1/6 case?

That could be good fix on the turtleneck. Since Ben has no neck joint if the collar was folded down on the innershirt it would hide that stitching quite well and expose the neck of the sculpt more. The question is how much bulk accumulates on the material with the fold. The robes could then be futzed down on the shoulders and have a more natural hang than bunched at the back of the neck.

i would also center the waistband to the belt for the robes downward, keep him from having too high of waistline.

Don't know what people are seeing in this, but both the costume and head sculpt are so far off. :ohbfrank:

Looks like a rush job owing to the mass of figures HT have to get out.

But it'll sell because there's little chance of a 2.0 any time soon. :monkey2
