That's how I feel.

Unfortunately, Leia's dress will suffer in the rush.

Fortunately, Leia and Luke's heads look good.

But this OT stuff was clearly rushed out to make it, no doubt about it.

That would be a kicker, because Leia's sculpt does look so good at the moment.

Maybe have to go back to the old Sideshow dress as a replacement. :lol

Oh no it's got shadows in it, it's not showing off the true sculpt totally suxorz man!!!

J/K looks wonderful and thanks.

Only been able to upload 1 photo this morning. Will try again when home this afternoon.

Para your picture quality really is top notch, I'm just not feeling it though. The eyes are just way too pronounced for me shading that (cloaked) is how I'll display him once it funnels in to my collection.

You guys should try flipping that collar down and show some neck for Obi.

Looks great Para......not certain whose home / room etc. wouldn't produce natural shadows throughout the course of a a day but some won't be happy either way. Looking forward to more pics...

Love the pics as always and the head sculpt is amazing but not for a Ben figure. I love star wars and still believe that they ever only made three films.

Here is a amateur attempted I made at painting my Trevor Grove head and pleeeeease don't thing I am trying to compare my painting skills or picture taking skills to Hot Toys or a pro but I still see more of Ben in it than this one. In the old head he looked old. The new head kind of reminds me of a Santa Clause who has cleaned up his act , stopped drinking, lost 300lbs and moved to LA.

Looks like a rush job owing to the mass of figures HT have to get out.

Despite not hitting a home run on all of theses I am not sure I buy that they necessarily "rushed" them. Why do we assume they HAD to get all these out BEFORE the FA stuff? It's not like the new movies will make people like the classic stuff less and they had to get it out before people lost interest. If anything the new movie will continue to drive interest in the classic stuff. So they could have sold some of these after the new movie comes out just as easily. Of course they will concentrate on the new movie for a bit, just like they concentrate on the latest Marvel movies around the time of their release, but I am not sure why that would make them hurry on the classic ones because they could have just as easily sprinkled them in over time and we would have all still bought them. The only thing I can see that would rush them is the expiration date of their license and I don't know when that is. I imagine they have a normal development process for these figures and sometimes they hit home runs and sometimes they don't, "rushing" may have nothing to do with it.

Ben's inner robes have that same fabric type that the SSC Jawas have - with lines that make it look like crepe paper.

Given time they could have chosen better material for the inner robe; tailored the collar properly; and had another go at sculpting a head that resembled Alec Guinness. (There's a much greater resemblance in magmax's SS repaint).

But HT probably said it doesn't matter because there isn't going to be another Obi-Wan so they'll buy it anyway.

Lalala can't hear you Darkseed 😄
And you know what the worst thing is I'll still probably buy him😢😢
And that's why hot toys are still in business.

The last few pictures I have seen in this thread the eyes are so black..... Why is that? A shadow effect?

Whatever it is, it is making the figure look a lot better. Great pics Stealth and Para.
