I strongly recommend MUTING the audio on that video. Then you can also FFWD/REW through it to see the parts you'd like. He's bang-on about face to hand ratio though. Not sure if the hands are too big or the head too small, but they're definitely not proportional. Hand paint looks really bad and color on both face and hands again way too dark. He should also have summarized and stated that only the ears of the sculpt match Guinness - because even though he says "it's not Guinness to a T" and lists almost all features which don't match, he keeps saying "it's pretty good" and then scores it 4/5 - at least he rates it with an appropriate term, "poops."

You used enamels, not acrylics? And just brush, no airbrush?

With Acrylics water them down a tad and airbrush, all you are trying to do is get the paint (I used light brown) in the cracks and in the joints and then wiping it clean
while the paint is still wet

I jumped over to the SS re-paint thread after watching this video and I am still sold on this being the best of the two options for my cash and collection. Thanks for posting....

I'm still on the fence so I am curious about what sold you on the HT Ben most? Thanks :)

Looks good in the video. For me, if you were to stand this next to SS's amongst my collection, HT's would always be my choice.

Lesser of two evils :)

Without going into detail causing needless debate that doean't matter, I think this version will look better in my collection. Pretty simple...

Thanks :) Seeing the video makes me lean that way too- but that's just right now, I keep going back and forth.

Another rambling video. People really love to hear themselves talk. I don't.

Go to the 17 minute mark to save yourself some pain.

:rotfl true.... I also think the contrast between this video and the one with the white gloves is funny- it's a big difference in how they both handle the figures and I am guessing most of us are some place in the middle. I'm not wearing gloves but I am a bit more careful and gentle then they guy in the latest video. Good to see it seems pretty durable though. But yes, Pixel was right, the video is best viewed with the audio off. I do like the likeness a bit better on video than still pictures for some reason, not sure why.

ALL of these "review" type videos need not be any longer than about 3 minutes. This one is 27 minutes. Really? You need that much time? More than half that time is spent repeating his views, hemming-and-hawing, explaining his OCD, trying to get his camera to focus, and the like. Unnecessary blathering.

I have to give it to BudgetStark, like him or not, he makes appropriate length videos, speaks quickly and clearly, and gets the information out that he needs to within the time frame without rambling or hemming-and-hawing.
