Fair enough then. You're not one of the ones of which I spoke. I'm all for prequel denial if it has a thoughtful, rational basis. And I agree they were a missed opportunity, but not enough to ruin my life.

Oh, and I'm one of those heathens who thought ROTS was as good as the OT!

ROTS brought to bear on the (unnecessarily condensed) meat of the story everything that was crap about the previous two films - thereby ruining it. It has only my condemnation. :D

Midichlorians *won't* be referenced in TFA, but the PT *does* still exist.

A lot of prequel deniers have probably forgotten WHY they hate them, all they know is they MUST hate them with the fury of a billion suns!

The latest Empire article reveals that Kylo has no Midichlorian count. He was not born Force-sensitive. So the Midichlorians aren't out of the new trilogy. Is it shocking? No, because the prequels were never going to be ignored - something the PT haters will forever struggle to digest.

I'm curious how the term midichlorian will be brought back up after never being mentioned in the original trilogy. Will it actually be acknowledged that Obi-wan, Yoda, Vader and the Emperor never mentioned it and if so why will people be throwing the term around again.

J.J disagrees with you, unless you are calling him a liar.:lol

J.J. Abrams promises no midi-chlorians in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' - LA Times

It won't. See above.

For me, Midichlorians are just a backstory for the Force.
NO harm done to my love of the star wars SAGA.
None of this OT vs PT shiz.
Saga!

I dislike Midichlorians because it's too much like Dragon Ball Z. "His Midichlorian count is over 5,000!!! Impossible!!!"

It seems unnecessary to try to quantify the force. We knew that Yoda was a powerful Jedi because he was titled as a master and we saw it through his actions and understanding of the force. It didn't need to be given a literal rating.

Well said.

If The Force runs in families there *has* to be a scientific explanation for it, whether we want to hear it or not. It makes sense the Jedi would use whatever means they could to identify Force-adepts, but maybe that was part of their downfall - they were blinded by science.

I would've thought midichlorians were pointless if they'd only been mentioned in TPM, but there was a purpose for them, as revealed in ROTS.

by the time of the OT, the science of the Midichlorians has been forgotten… the Jedi are seen as a hokey religion even though there is absolute scientific proof to back up their foundation. Yoda and Obi Wan waited on Luke as their champion due to this science… they weren’t even going to tell Luke that Vader was his father… they were just hoping that a fully intact Skywalker could beat a mostly cybernetic one. the science proved worthy… they were right… they just weren’t considering the Emperor having a front row seat…

in the end, it wasn’t science or a prophecy that turn the tide… it was love… a thing the Jedi knew nothing of.

I love how simple and graphic his look is. So many designs these days go overboard and complicated, especially when it comes to villains.

Love everything about the figure. If the movie is good this is bought! I'd be a fool to buy a figure before i know the movie is any good, and i think the same of those who preorder without seeing the movie.

Unless that sort of thing don't bother you. I mean yeah Darth Maul was cool, but the movie he was in was trash so it ruins it for me. (if it doesn't for you more power to ya)

But i have a feeling the movie is going to be really good!:)

Plus it's darth vaders grandson for cryin out loud
