Eh, I don't buy it. I don't really see any correlation between Yoda bouncing off the walls and Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon running quickly.

The OT lovers do think the OT is perfect, they just don't say it as "it's perfect"

I sure wish the CGI characters actually were representative of video game characters..... you are over-exaggerating.
CGI Yoda is better than any video game graphic....

Yoda uses quickness to bounce off walls as does Qui Gon/Obi to run.... same force power in a sense....


It is funny that some people complain about the EU explaining to much and so called "connecting everything" yet when the PT does not explain anything, keeping it simple, like the OT apparently does, people still complain.

OT love and complete PT hate is from the nostalgia blinders being on clouding judgement....

Have you ever read one bad thing about the OT on these boards? I have not. That is why I think the OT lovers think it is perfect, you never read one criticism from them about it, ever. In there mind it is perfect.

I recently noticed Rotten Tomatoes rates the saga same as I do: ESB> ANH> ROTJ> ROTS> AOTC> TPM (probably the same as most people except AOTC ain't last).

Also like me, RT puts ROTS and ROTJ on virtually the same level (there's only one percentage point in it).

The OT is far from perfect and criticisms and jokes about various parts come up regularly from its biggest fans, myself included. At the end of it all however, they're just better movies. This is the aggregate opinion of professional critics and the general public and this will never change. But my opinion doesn't rely on anyone else's and I've never needed a professional critic to tell me what's good and what isn't.

If anyone is ever going to reply to me or bring up my name when discussing this topic, know that I don't need to discuss or otherwise include the OT when talking about the PT. The PT movies fail on their own, they need not be compared to the OT whatsoever. They're just bad movies, period.

Let me know when any of the PT movies makes the AFI 100.

How does running fast have any relationship to jumping high?

I have never come across anyone using the EU to fill in for plot holes in the OT. That's because they were well written movies. Unlike the PT. IMO. People in this thread are referring to 'Force Valence' or whatever to explain how Yoda fighting with a lightsaber is just an extension of his power with the Force When was Force Valence even mentioned in any of the films?

We have another private forum set up and when we get onto these topics, it's usually just to watch PT-sympathizers do acrobatics and Force Vantines trying to defend their position, coming up with all kinds of implausible explanations and Jedi mind tricks to justify their ludicrous premise, contents and creative process/production. Then we kick back, enjoy some beverages and make private jokes.

Looks decent enough to me, just a bad angled shot IMO.

It is the same force power enabling them to do those feats.

I brought it up, it was Force Valor. It never was, but you just answered your own original question, the "ability" is an extension of the force.

There are plenty of Plot Holes in the OT as well, PLENTY. What EU novels fill the plot holes in the PT?
