Yeah, I just noticed that in the pictures at the beginning of the thread. There's shots that have it with the ANH chest box and shots with the R1 chest box.

Again, don't really trust fully what we're going to get but it looks like all ANH with the RO chest box (most shots), RO saber, and RO belt boxes. The suit and all that stuff doesn't look high gloss like the Rogue One version, but with no electronics--for all we know they're just including the same body with no sound chip and batteries included--problem solved.

It's not a SSC exclusive so I wouldn't pull the panic to PO this set yet. Other vendors will carry it

I missed out on Rogue One Vader so I'm tempted to order this one. Thing is, I'm not interested in Tarkin (although he looks great)

Other than the light up saber, are there any noticeable improvements on this Vader vs Rogue One? I don't care all that much about the Interrogator Droid.

Just the gloves are RO, did you see the description I posted, it said nothing about a Newly designed Vader body or mask

I found the description but I wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. I saw the Rogue One Vader (still kicking myself for missing it) and he turned out really good.



Overall, I thought Rogue One Vader turned out better than the ANH Version. He looks more polished and the materials appear to be higher quality. ANH has its strengths. I like the light up saber of course, I think the belt is better positioned, and I don't like the 'diaper' on Rogue One.

this was an easy slam dunk for HT. Tarkin is very easy to make and they already had ANH Vader.

I hope the next PO that goes up is either Anakin or Emperor

The body and suit also have to be R1, the ANH body and suit are too bulky to fit the R1 gloves and the ANH body has integrated sound feature which this figure doesn't.

Odd that they glossed up the helmet, Vader had a matte paint finish in ANH.

I bet they're probably recycling R1 parts the most though. This figure I imagine sort of serves as their "second run" of the R1 figure that is based on ANH.

ROTJ 3-Pack with Luke v2 reissue, ROTJ Vader and Emperor w/Throne.

Wouldn't be surprised if this has at least been pitched at HT.

Luke "V2" being the MMS429 figure with the Endor Luke gritted teeth sculpt so he can duel Vader in front of The Emperor.

Upon further inspection of the pics, doesn't look like the eyes on Vader aren't even remotely red like RO, how can they advertise this Vader as " exact likeness to portrayal to ANH " if the eyes are dull grey again.

I still prefer RO . At first I was going to wait to get this Vader parted out so I can get a ignited saber for my RO version, but now I'm thinking I don't think the RO arm is made to be compatible

I might try to switch out the RO arm socket and put it the ANH vader light saber arm to see if it will fit.

The 2 pack is definitely the better deal and would look great displayed together, but the version of Vader I'd prefer would be ROTJ. I could buy the 2 pack now and if I don't want to have two versions of Vader in my collection by the time the ROTJ version comes out, I'm sure I'll be able to sell this one. Gotta think about this one.

Be tougher to sell ANH Vader once ESB or ROTJ reveal Vader are available. You will lose money.

Yeah I'll wait for HT RoTJ or ESB version..something about that SSC ROTJ Vader just seems off

How do all the freaks that spent so much time and money customizing their ANH Vaders so much when all they had to do was wait for this version
