I just pulled the trigger and pre-ordered the EX. Having this classic suit with the Tony HS was a no-brainer. Recently received the Mark VII EX, Mark XLII Bust, Mark VII bust, and also pre-ordered the Mark XLII Diecast. I must resist ordering more Iron Man stuff :slap :lol

Fun isn't it?:panic::lol

Uh this is HT...so only 17-20 months till it's here!:lol

So in 17-20 months time, how many times will this thread go back and forth between everyone talking about the figure, and how pissed off people are that The Mandarin wasn't The Mandarin? Like every other IM3 figure thread?

That was straight up bull**** :gah:

and to answer your question, probably a lot

I really thought my iron man 2 mkvi was all I needed for ironman....I now have mk42, heartbreaker, silver cent and tony stark on PO. I'm hoping I can resist mandarin but I doubt that also.

I wonder about the house party protocol armors, would they really go up in price in such a significant way that people who buy more than 1 would be raking in crazy profits when selling them? I see buying this armor because of the history behind it is great, but for those that don't know the history, would they really care to have this armor in their collection enough that this figure would go up in price?

I just think those that buy more than 1 may have a little profit but not enough to justify buying so many.

Im buying 2 myself, one EX and one regular. This is the suit Ive always wanted (because of the older comicbooks) but I plan to keep both. No way Im selling any of them for a profit.

Just noticed this and HeartBreaker are $249.99..

this comes with and extra stark HS and blades, HB doesn't, so how can HT justify the price of the HB? both these are brand new suits, each newly designed and one would think the Stark HS would add more money to this, Also this has the ex...

I dont know I want the HB more but in comparison it too much

yeah that is stupid HB should be priced 200-210

Only one EX allowed per household was what I heard. Also no need for me to be greedy, one EX will do. Not feeling the EX ironman helmut too much anyways.

Ah gotcha, but what's the point of keeping two SCs?

One for display at home, the other for display at work or my bands practice space most likely. Plus if one ever breaks I have another to fall back on. But like I said earlier this was the suit Ive always wanted(and some) and will be the last HT Ironman I buy. Gotta go out with a bang!

Argh I really can't decide between this and the Mark VII.. I don't want TOO many Iron Man suits so I'm not getting both, and since the Centurion and Mark VII are both mostly red and I like diversity in my shelf it's basically the choice between those two.. DECISIONS! :(

do you want your IM to have any gold? if so, MK7, plus there is way more posing options and switch out parts

I'm thinking it's probably cos' HB seems more complicated (paint scheme and design wise) than centurion.

Just like how the diecast Patriot is similarly priced as the Mark 42 @$310, although its has no BD parts, and how the Mark V was similarly priced as the IM 2 Mark VI @$210, although it had virtually no accessoriess.

Something interesting to note, is that the 1/4 bust War Machine mark 2 is $15 cheaper than the 1/4 bust Patriot, even though they're essentially the same thing. So complexity of the design (in this case, I'm guessing it's Patriot's color combination) probably had a hand in the price too.

Im wondering if maybe they are trading off prices to would be cheaper figures to balance out the prices (ie Centurion may really cost $275 for what is provided and HB is $225, but the make them both $250 so the lose a little and make a little)

I dont see HB being any more complex then SC as they have the 3D files from Marvel, so all they have to do is go in to those models and add joints and modify small things then send it off to be made/painted

Statues and figures differ by a lot.... you may have the exterior design... you have to design the internal as well to be cast and assembled together... That's up to 500+ pieces with Mk.7.... will be less for the IM3 armors.... I dare say up to 90% of the works goes to the design of internals...

Your are Implying HT to use Neca's methods... almost solid pieces with simple joints.... such as PPS001 (less so on PPS002)
