As soon as pay day comes (...in about 3 days unfortunately), I'll PO this guy. I'm really concerned that it may be too late though and sites will have him pre-sold out (fortunately I haven't seen any sites other than BBTS that have this). Anybody recommend shopafx.com? I plan on ordering from either their or alterego.

Depends if you're looking for the ex or not.
I don't think the ex will be sold out quick since its limited 1 per

I was aiming for two ThreeA figs and the Deadpool comic. I was able to acquire one ThreeA fig, which thankfully is beautiful. 'Was never into Power Rangers. Were the Magic cards cool?

I was never a big fan of Loki, but after being there when Tom Hiddleston talked to the audience in character -- I'm not gonna lie -- I kind of wished I had scored the Hot Toys Loki.

Are you going to order Centurion, Jon? After that Cap footage, I almost feel like focusing more on him instead of Tony.

The funny thing is that I didn't even think that people were nostalgic for power rangers. I enjoyed it when I was 12 then moved on. I didn't even think Magic Cards were still popular. Never thought these 2 items would be the most highly coveted.:lol
I already preordered the Centurion. I just really dig it's design and presence at the SSC booth. It really stood out on that display. The in-helmet hs sealed the deal. :yess:
That year long wait'll be real tough to manage. I think the only other IM3 figs I PO after this will be Mandarin & Killian. Can't really think of any other armors in the legion that match the Centurion.
Winter soldier does look amazing! Can't wait for the inevitable HT announcement!

Argh I really can't decide between this and the Mark VII.. I don't want TOO many Iron Man suits so I'm not getting both, and since the Centurion and Mark VII are both mostly red and I like diversity in my shelf it's basically the choice between those two.. DECISIONS! :(

I'd go with this...the vii doesn't look right to me. This looks perfect IMO.

Statues and figures differ by a lot.... you may have the exterior design... you have to design the internal as well to be cast and assembled together... That's up to 500+ pieces with Mk.7.... will be less for the IM3 armors.... I dare say up to 90% of the works goes to the design of internals...

Your are Implying HT to use Neca's methods... almost solid pieces with simple joints.... such as PPS001 (less so on PPS002)

And also the separation of parts needed for paint purposes as HB has more color variation to it, compared to SC which is majorly red, with some bits of silver.

But at the end of the day, it all comes down to which design you like better ... I for one went for the HB :panic:

Im wondering if maybe they are trading off prices to would be cheaper figures to balance out the prices (ie Centurion may really cost $275 for what is provided and HB is $225, but the make them both $250 so the lose a little and make a little)

no, they definitely won't lose money on the figure. They might make less profit on one, and more on the other.

I thought the regular was up at the same time

regular is not up. retailers have the regular. in past once the exclusive sells out, the regular goes on sale at sideshow but i've also seen when the exclusive sells out, sideshow has no more.

When do u guys think the non ex version will go up for pre-order?

The regular does go up at the same time and it has been up. Here is the link.

It dosn't have free shipping, so its the same price to get the exclusive.

when you do a search on the home page for all 1/6 hot toys currently for sale, it doesn't come up. do it for the silver centurion specifically, and the search jumps to the exclusive page. i had to log in to my account, go to the product archive search, then search there within the result to find it. i always thought sideshow website's search engine was weak, but this looks like they are pushing the exclusive over the regular by making the regular so difficult to find. i guess they figure it's the same price, and you get a crushed helmet exclusive.

getting back, i have also seen like here, a website buried regular version while the exclusive was still for sale. when the exclusive was gone, the regular was listed sold out too. maybe because it had been sold at retailers all along and they expelled their stock. :dunno

Why does it matter so much to get the non-exclusive if it's the same price anyways? If you don't want the battle damaged Mark XLII helmet you could probably sell it and make a little.

agreed. :exactly:

both regular and exclusive require a NRD and offer flat rate shipping. the exclusive item can sell for as much as $100 on ebay.
