At first I was excited because I could finally get a Mark IV, but then I saw Iron Monger and I threw all needs and desires for an Iron Man away :D

They should throw in a Tux for the Gantry only one, so owners of the existing MK IV can use the HS and a truetype to add a different setup to the scene.

To emulate this scene:

Its cool, but not $350 cool. If the Mark IV-less version was less than say $250, I'd be all over it. But $350+ for this display piece seems steep. Maybe if we weren't getting Iron Monger, Batmobile, etc. and there was nothing really coming out on the horizon, I'd bite. But right now there are way cooler high priced things coming out from HT.

What is with the super high cost items coming out from HT lately? Avatar, Batmobile, Iron Monger, this... seems like they're really starting to push the limits on 1/6 scale MSRP.

So HT are basically pricing themselves to compete with their own products :lol

As long as collectors keep paying whatever HT throws at us, they're going to continue raising the level of prices. In theory, if we just stopped buying, they would curb their prices to match demand. But in the real world, that doesn't happen, especially with collectibles.. so they will continue to just keep pumping out products and slowly keep raising MSRP's.

People are still going to buy this dio regardless of what the price point is. And HT will continue to be like this ----> :rotfl

Re: Hot Toys MMS Iron Man Suit-Up Gantry

ahh...they need to push this back and just give us Iron Monger

They're doing both, holmes.

HT is really doing some major milking on this line huh.

That's why it's called a business, not charity.

IM figs always seem to cost more :monkey4

A new CAD figure from scratch will always cost more in development than a new costume over an existing true type. The paint apps on the IM armors are much more labor intensive as well. Logic. It's your friend.

Cool piece -- shows how HT keeps upping their game.

But an easy pass, since it's a shelf hog, overpriced, and demands an essentially static pose. (Static poses & stands are for mama's boys.)
