Can't make up my mind really.

I don't feel the need to own any IM figs of any kind so feel HT are going above and beyond in milking the licence.

Also can't believe they are issuing the Mk VI again.

Then again, it does look very well done as ever the case by HT.

:lol

:lol a double stagger... staggered by how good it looks, but also staggered that it's being released at all. same here!

Wow this thing looks fantastic. If I were an IM obsessive this most certainly would be bought. Together with the likes of BISHART's eventual Monaco diorama, the Mech Test Tony Stark setup and of course all the other figures this line is being really well served.

thanks man! did some casting today!

Hey Agentofchaos, would you say that these increasing prices and the slew of figures available at the same time is Market Flooding?

Are you, as a fan and collector of Hot toys being driven away from collecting the amount you would've done before?

I would say it is pretty crazy right now. HT is expanding exponentially and there are many more that are on the way like 89 Batman/Joker, more from Pirates, MGS, Green lantern, Star Wars etc etc. It's a great time to be a collector but its a great time for one to decide what their collection's focus would be.

I dont think it is driving me away from collecting the amount I would have. Current Q4 is going to have more than a dozen figures and they will all be impressive in their own way. I personally have a budget for each quarter. No more than 3-4 figures per qtr is my rule. And I think in today's economy and the current flood of offerings from HT this is essential. I tend to PO late and not the day a figure goes up for PO so I have a better idea of what is being released each quarter and choose the ones I really really like. A lot of times it works. A lot of times I miss out or have to sell an older piece to get a new one. These are the joys of collecting :) What HT is doing is giving us a lot of choices. It's nice to see so may characters being released with great sculpts and workmanship. Its up to each of us to decide which ones we want and which ones we don't.

I can never understand why some people here complain about something being made. If you can't appreciated you don't have to buy it. It's not as if HT is replacing one item for another (canceling Iron Monger in order to sell this, for example).

Let them sell the stuff man, what is the big deal? Most toys companies release dozens of figures for a franchise. Everybody wins when something new (ANYTHING NEW) is announced!

I too am trying to limit myself to 3-4 figure per QTR, but for me at least i can't resist Hot Toys, i do want nearly ecerything, as nearly everytning they release appeals to me, not all, but most. So it's hard to choose which i'll go for.

My worry is that these higher prices will become a trend and figures between $150 & $180 will become extinct and i'll have to cut down to 2 a QTR will will be three times as hard.

For the 1st QTR 2012 i have the Tron bike, and if i add this then i could only afford one more as the bike and this will come to the price of 3+ figures.

And the 1st QTR has barely started.

Most toys companies release dozens of figures for a franchise.

True, but most toy companies charge £15 for figures, Hot Toys charges hundreds so i wouldnt personally compare them to toy companies.

It's a buy- I want the deluxe with the Mk IV just so I can drool..how I'm gonna buy it is another story.......

All aboard the Amazing Hot Toys Iron Man Milking Machine!

"Let's face it, this is not the worst thing you've ever caught me doing."

I think it would look better if it came with a Pepper Potts.

That would make the purchase a definate one for me!

Hot Toys THANK YOU!!! I missed out on the Mark IV but with this I have no worries, keep your donuts, keep your sunglasses, this is how I would display it anyway!!

:horror YOU didn't get the Mark IV the first time around? :thwak

Bought!

I want the gantry, but.....I just have to see what it's actually going to go for first.

limited and exclusive do mean something. But to HT it don't... I don't buy things because its valuable. I buy things because I enjoy having things that I like.

That's how it should be. If I based all my purchases on what I think it will be worth in the future, I wouldn't buy anything because most things don't go up in value, they decrease.

are they asking a price? i didnt know it was for sale yet. gimee gimee.

There isn't an actual price, just speculation. Hopefully the gantry will be no more than $250.

The HK toy boards are speculating $250 and $350 for with and without.

And oh yeah...

IRON MONGER!?!!

Oh man, this going to be a wallet busting year. Well, if I'm going out of HT 1/6, I might as well go out with a bang! :p
