I have a gut feeling that this may turn out to be a grail item down the road given the high ticket price. Most of us feel queasy about dropping this kind of money for a new release, but am wondering if I'll consider it a "bargain" down the road if it ends up selling double or triple the price on the after market.

If you wouldn't pay 360 for it now, there would be no reason to pay 720 for it down the road. If you have it in the back of your mind that you would pay inflated secondary prices down the road best to jump on it while you can get 10% of at etailers

Peronaly I dont think is work the price of two figures today or the price of two figures a few years from now. But I certainly hope that everyone that does pull the trigger enjoys it and recieves an item they feel is worth their 360

....... And the 140 mark iv still chaps my a$$ :)

How about this: 2 of us get 2 gantry arms, the other gets 1 gantry arm + the base? :monkey3

Hmmm, I'm thinking more like this:

I get the whole damn thing, you guys get the personal satisfaction that you did a good thing and helped a fellow 1/6 geek.

Makes perfect sense to me.

That's very positive thinking. Thanks in advance!

Scary thought, but I think you may be correct.

:goodpost::exactly:

5 robot arms + 1 base for $360 is insane, unless the arms are made of adamantium and the base is made of imported marble. I'm guessing we'll get the same quality, fragile robot arms that we saw with Mech Test Tony and another plastic base though. :dunno

Were the arms really fragile? :monkey2

After staring at the pics for 30mins I'm leaning for it...but I don't want it if it's gonna have me gluing parts back as I touch it :rotfl

mine were fragile on my Mech Test Tony. I am sure this will make for a great display though. I want the Iron Monger though and will have to pass on this.

Yes, the robot arm is fragile very light plastic. If the gantry is constructed the same, then the price is an enormous joke for the material cost.

look at all the tiny pieces its a given its fragile, and its hollow no doubt. even if this was diecast metal, id have a hard time with the 360 price.

corner store comics just put this up. same as alter ego. much cheaper than sideshow, still sadly overpriced. damn.

This piece of thing is really something, Hot Toys has released mk IV and after that selling this Gantry WITH mk IV?!?

What happen to the people that wants the gantry (with the robot) ?

the way HT selling Iron Man line is starting to piss me off. Why in the world they want to sell that bundled with other things while almost everybody bought the mk IV.

Yet, it's less than $100 more than your Monaco dio, which you said sells for $275.

It has eighty points of articulation and a light-up feature. Lots of individual molds and assembly with those armatures.

Your dio is painted boat resin with EL wire for Whiplash . . .

Pot meet kettle? :monkey1
