I agree that there's little logic to HT's releases, but Back To The Future figures are in a different category completely. Yellow Jacket, Crossbones, Valkyrie, BvS Batmobile, etc. - all of these were shown leading up to their films' releases. Vulture was shown for the first time a year after Spider-man Homecoming was in theaters, making it somewhat of an anomaly.

Yep. It's extremely strange to work on something so hard long after the film has run its course.

Does anyone know: is Spiderman hugely popular in Asia? Perhaps the Vulture is a bigger want over there than people here assume.

But if the tariff war is a consideration about next year's plans -- which it simply has to be -- then we might have a year of stripped down figures with lower prices (like $205 Bespin Leia) rather than these very large and very expensive figures... at least until things get sorted out.

Well accordingly some lists, Spidey is ranked #2 as the world's most popular hero (behind #1 Batman), so I'd say any merchandising related to good ol' web head is pretty darn profitable.

I spoke to a group of Sideshow Employees at NYCC about this piece.
The consensus is.......It is Not looking good! One of them said they spoke to a top guy at Hot Toys about this piece and was told for the cost it would take to release it the interest is just Not there.
They said Hot Toys has been bringing this Vulture to all the shows to drum up as much interest as they can but it just doesn't look good. The Sideshow people finished up the conversation saying anything is possible but I wouldn't count on this one coming out.
So, that's a Bummer.

That is a damn shame. Seriously. Probably with how much the figure would cost upwards of $400 probably not worth the gamble if there isn’t much interest. Damn another to put on the “I wish list” next to valkyrie

Damn. Bad news. And probably very truthful. It would take a lot of interest for HT to bother with this effort. And even in this thread alone there isn't much support except from the same small group of people.

Too bad though... what a monster of a display piece this would make. It will have to live forever in the fantasy of my mind...

Time to redo the first 7 Iron Men again with full die cast and properly scale heads.

Maybe we’ll get the figure at least if they don’t think they can sell the wings. Really getting tired of HT dissing the Marvel villains especially one like this. He is arguably one of the best Marvel villains so far along side Thanos and Killmonger (though we need that break out Killmonger with the Wakandan mask too).
It’s a bit frustrating that third party developers are being shut down for attempting to do what the “big boys” can’t afford to. If HT can’t afford to do the small projects any more, it would be nice if someone else could take it on. I know that’s not how IP works, but it would be nice. I for one am looking fwd to my DP2 Cable figure.
