Though I like Qui Gon, I didn't like the figure. Neeson has a very unique forehead and nose bridge and this figure lacks it.View attachment 491998

In all fairness to HT, very unique features are particularly challenging to capture.

Qui-Gon is on my list of figures to get eventually but I haven’t pre-ordered yet. I’ve been waiting on a Padawan Obi-Wan. I kind of regret not getting Maul, but I have the Solo version pre-ordered.

The cynic in me thinks that, as soon as this is out/sold out, they will announce another Qui Gon, with Padawan Obi Wan(Only available in the set) and exclusive little Anakin, lol.

Unique features makes it easier to capture. In fact, when Darkman came out in an interview with Tony Gardner (who did the F/X makeup) he said they were hoping that the production would cast a skinny/gaunt person to play the role so that the makeup wouldn't look too bulky, but when Neeson was cast they got the opposite. Large forehead and brow, and a broken nose from his years of boxing. He then said it worked out better because of it, as the unique features made it easier to capture and keep his likeness in the makeup.

Before Qui-Gon was announced, I actually thought they would use him as an opportunity to make a Jake Lloyd Anakin. A regular edition, and a deluxe two pack with Anakin. Just seemed like the perfect way to offer him, as I don't see that ever happening on it's own.

No. Maybe that's what they will do with a Padawan Kenobi, make the deluxe include Anakin.
It's either that, or release Anakin and his Pod, lol.

It's either that, or release Anakin and his Pod, lol.

What would be cool, though I doubt it will happen is if there was a two pack of Anakin and 3PO in his unfinished form.

By the time they eventually announce Padawan Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon will be long sold out and you'll be paying double the price on him. Pre-order him now and save yourself the money, and the headache in the long run. They already teased Padawan Obi-Wan, but since they JUST put General Kenobi up for pre-order, I don't think we'll see the Padawan version any time soon. I'd guess not until next year, when Qui-Gon will definitely be sold out and expensive to get.

Yeah. I do plan to order eventually. He isn’t necessarily a top priority for me though. I don’t love the prequels, but he is a character I wouldn’t mind having. I do wish I would have went for the TPM version of Maul to pair with him, but oh well.

Probably do an expensive two pack featuring naked 3po and little Ani. That way HT first 3po will be the one few want lol.

He wasn?t in the mandalorian. That may be the holdup. I think they want to rush those out before season 2. New mandalorian versions to take the place of ot and pt figures we want. Sigh

Some predictions guy on Instagram said this and the Mk 47 were due next for release.
