I finally was able to put my Thor up after returning from Comic-Con. I'm surprised how much I like this figure. He's got real potential for some awesome poses.

I liked it from the beginning, but that's just me. The photos or videos never did this guy justice. It seems to only look good in person. Very strange. :cuckoo::cuckoo:

I re-adjusted my Thor and added the modified Helmet...

Just my personal opinion, although he can raise the hammer high, the outfit is still preventing it to make it look normal, the pose makes it look toylike. His deltoids looks too far from his face to make it look like a natural pose. It looks awkward.
This probably will be less of an issue with tbe avengers suit since it'll be sleeveless.

My favorite so far though is the pose on your sig.

So sitting at home bored I decided to take off the HT whiplash thigh pads (those clip on things that make the figure look it has more muscle) and I got them to fit on the HT Thor figure. He has always had those skinny legs and I feel that this makes adds to the figures. It was a pain to get the pants over the legs, I am just glad nothing tore. What do you freaks think???

Looks waaay better! What does it do for the side profile? Does it help there too? Another thing, look how long his neck looks in this picture..

Here are some other angles per request.

Nice job Highlander, was curious about the hamstring muscles from the side but they look great! This just looks like normal legs for a guy this size. If you want them to even look a bit bigger someone on here had taken the tunic in a little to accentuate the waist a little further. It looked really good too. Nicely done, when I get Thor if the Avengers version is the same as this I will be doing the same for sure. Can you tell me what the pieces looked like you used withouth having to take them out?

Remy is right Nick, the pose in your Sig is 100X better.

This one looks very unnatural because the deltoids and arm position are just way too off bro.

So Im kicking around the idea of doing an earth Thor. Just for kicks I pulled my Thor apart and put my Connor shirt to see how it looks. I like it. I think the body looks right for the film and the shirt is definitely the correct color and cut. I will have to get another body, and do some serious modifying of the neck/head. Because the heads and hammers are so expensive, Im debating on recasting the head and using real hair for it. Gets around the cost and Im going to chop the hell out of it anyway. Here is the first test fit.

I've based mine on this image

Note, he's not wearing jeans, rather black pants, without cargo type pockets.

I've used-

Thor hs and body
Scarecrow brown boots
Blue t-shirt from eBay- these look like they have a really big collar, but on the Thor body look good
Ordered 'the spirit' black pants (still haven't arrived), using dark blue jeans in the mean time
Using a brown leather jacket at present, but will trybto make my own swede style jacket with the spidery, Asgardian shoulder pattern

Thanks TT, I am glad people have responded to this positively. The pieces I used to make Thor's legs bigger were from the HT Whiplash figure and it is basically snap on muscle, just like in the picture of Mr. President. It had a spot where it was glued on the leg, I just used a wide prying object (a butter knife) and broke it free. I didn't even have to glue them in place on Thor because the pants were so damn tight.

Looks like his pants shrunk in the wash.

The pants do look a little tight but much better than the Emo legs.

I like this figure with the mod, it gives his body more symmetry.
