Okay, I think I've let some of you make fun of my Thor long enough. Why some of you think it's okay to try hurt the feeling of a fellow collector/basher is beyond me :dunno. I even requested for those of you who felt the need to comment "To please be gentle". Shame on you.

That aside, let me list some facts about Marvel's version of Thor.

1. Marvel Comics version of Thor was created to be a comic book character. (which is a visual art)

2. Just about every image of the Thor in those comics shows him as a huge hero. (Bigger than the average man)

3. All live action movies based on a comic book character is only an attempt at capturing the imagery of the comic book design. (Which was established before any movie)

4. The comic book version of Thor was pretty much the only imagery of him before the movie that anyone had to pull from for decades.

I've been a comic book fan for over 40 years, which is where my version of Thor came from. Not the movie. (Even though I liked the movie very much) My goal was to capture the vision of the original concept i.e. comic book and animation. Not the movie version. (See pictures below)

I'm not stating that my Thor is the best. Just another option which is what I was trying to share with the group, but all I got for my efforts to share was mean and hurtful comments trying very hard to hurt my feeling and insult me. This seems just plain mean. I thought this was a good place for sharing our visions.

For all of us who like heroes, is this the way a hero would act or treat others?

Don't listen to them man, if you're happy with it that's the main thing.

Don't let them get you down.

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves, we're supposed to be cool to each other here.

Don't let the negativity get to you. I am currently working on a AC: Altair figure and I am very happy with it, but I know when I show it to the world, people will criticize it from head selection to the lack of quality in the sewing, wrong texture, wrong body used, incorrect display stand, etc. etc.

F em. Ultimately, the only thing that matters is how happy you are with your figures and your customs. Thank you for your contributions and your photos! :)

AFM - Many of the A**holes bashing on you couldn't do half the job you did. It's your art and enjoy it. I try to live by this rule "don't let others still your JOY". Keep sharing brother.

I call it the "SSF ****** Bag Problem"- the ongoing infestation and tolerance of d-bags and shut ins whose only exercise of power comes in the form of blogging about Chewbacca, Thor, Bruce Lee, etc.

Just watched the film and am thinking of getting this, i heard he can't hold the hammer, the HS is pretty poor in person, what things should i be aware of?

Also Can the arms go over his head for a flying pose?

Yes, he can hold the Hammer, Yes, the HS is sub-par for HT, No, the arms have limited mobility. unless you maybe remove the sleeves?

His arms can't go over his head really but he can still do loads of cool poses!

The head sculpt is great and he can hold the hammer fine!

Don't believe the hate, I love this figure!, especially wearing the helmet.

not to be a "douchbag" but your thor bash does look a little ridiculous. you shouldn't of used the realistic HS for a comic figure bash, especially on a comic style body with barbie hair. not being mean here, just pointing out what most of us see..
but a figure is a figure, it all depends on YOUR opinion
