Okay, I think I've let some of you make fun of my Thor long enough. Why some of you think it's okay to try hurt the feeling of a fellow collector/basher is beyond me
. I even requested for those of you who felt the need to comment "To please be gentle". Shame on you.
That aside, let me list some facts about Marvel's version of Thor.
1. Marvel Comics version of Thor was created to be a comic book character. (which is a visual art)
2. Just about every image of the Thor in those comics shows him as a huge hero. (Bigger than the average man)
3. All live action movies based on a comic book character is only an attempt at capturing the imagery of the comic book design. (Which was established before any movie)
4. The comic book version of Thor was pretty much the only imagery of him before the movie that anyone had to pull from for decades.
I've been a comic book fan for over 40 years, which is where my version of Thor came from. Not the movie. (Even though I liked the movie very much) My goal was to capture the vision of the original concept i.e. comic book and animation. Not the movie version. (See pictures below)
I'm not stating that my Thor is the best. Just another option which is what I was trying to share with the group, but all I got for my efforts to share was mean and hurtful comments trying very hard to hurt my feeling and insult me. This seems just plain mean. I thought this was a good place for sharing our visions.
For all of us who like heroes, is this the way a hero would act or treat others?
