An Austrian body builder? Seriously?!

Btw, the fact that its Marvel Studios producing a Marvel Comics character wasn't, perhaps, a clue that Hemsworth is what they wanted?

Anyway, back on to topic, you can have your gripes with Hemsworth and argue for ages why he isn't qualified to be Thor, but don't knock the Hot Toys figure because you don't like the actor. Hot Toys makes movie figures to resemble the actors/actresses, not their comic book counterparts.

I'm sure some people didn't like Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze, but the HT Ghost Rider figure is still one kick-@$$ figure.

They can use whoever they want,
my opinion is that Hemsworth has not the sense of majesty and presence that Thor should have.

In many scenes he act on platforms to appear taller.... he is 191 cm (6 foot 3) but my opinion is that he didn´t fit in the role (physically).

If fact I said that is my opinion that the HT figure sucks because the actor/character does.

The body they used is leaner than the one used for superman.
If collectors are using ankle extensions to make him appear taller.... there should be a reason... or not?

Who else do you honestly think could've handled the Thor role better than Hemsworth?

No offense, but if you think the movie sucks, the actor sucks and the figure sucks... then why do you keep coming in here to _____ about it? :dunno

The problem you're having The_8TH_Wonder is you don't understand that Marvel Studios are make movies BASED on the comics. They are not directly referencing the comics. Think of it as another Marvel Universe much like the Ultimates universe. This is the Marvel Cinematic universe.

Also, Hemsworth is an actor. If Marvel had hired a bodybuilder for the role of Thor, this film would have flopped.

ALSO, just because Donald Blake isn't in the film, it doesn't make the film wrong. Thor doesn't turn into Blake in the Ultimate comics. I'm not even sure if he turns into Blake in the Thor comics at all nowadays.

Embrace change dude.

So in order for the HT figure to "not suck" (and we are only taking about the figure, not the movie), Hot Toys should go ahead and make a (and I will take your example) Ronald Kickinger Thor figure, even though Hemsworth played Thor in the movies? I think the HT figure looks fantastic because it looks like a really good Thor Hemsworth, regardless of how I feel about him being Thor in the movies.

Some movie from Marvel Studios is more fortunate that some other.
Spider-man and Iron Man are 2 examples of good scrips.

Other movies less.

It is my opinion that in 5 years Thor will be forgotten like Daredevil is.

Sure you can, but I just wondered why you would keep spending time on saying something is bad.

When I don't like something, I just avoid it. No need to spend precious time on things I don't like.

:exactly:

People are free to post about not liking something but how many times do you need to post saying the same thing? Why not spend that time in thread for figures you do like? :dunno

That´s called Critics.
People don´t talk only about the things they like.

I have no problem with people being critical and voicing their opinion.
A post about why you don't like something, sure, fine.
Keep repeating it and turning into a broken record... meh, not my cup of tea. Get's old real fast.
