Great pics. Have you considered buying a Blacklight torch? They are really cheap. https://www.ebay.com/itm/9-LED-Ultr...4673914?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item565ba42e7a
It works wonders with the Tesseract. Just take pics of the figure holding the cube with the torch off camera pointed at it.

Awesome! I think I'll pick one up! I always thought the tesseract in those pics where it's glowing were modded with an LED inside or something. It looks amazing with that blacklight. Thanks for the tip Barry!

No worries. You could very easily and cheaply light it up.
But this way is even easier. And all you do is keep the blacklight out of frame. Somehow the tesseract absorbs the light and lets it spill out in all directions. It looks really cool.

Definitely looks cool! I'll post photos once I receive it! I can see its reflection in the 1st photo and it looks like the LED flashlight I have, except mine is white light. I tested out earlier and definitely doesn't have the same effect as the black light. I would've thought there was an LED drilled inside it. The effect is truly awesome! :yess:

Thanks. The one reflected in my PC screen has about 42 UV LEDs in it. It looks more like a traditional flashlight, and you can see the edge of it in the last pic above with the RS, just on the left hand side of frame.
But any UV flashlight with a tight focussing beam will do.
We use them to check currency here for fakes.
Scottish notes have details that only fluoresce under a UV light.

I saw some new "Red Skull" stuff in the toy aisle today...part of what's being offered in the "Winter Soldier" toy line....hmmmm, is he just a carry-over for toys or....does he make an appearance in the new film? We'll know soon enough...

But anyway....came home and had another look at this great HT figure...one of the more impressive ones I think...

I suspected from the beginning we were gonna see Red Skull in this film. The rumor now is that Alexander Pierce is the Red Skull and some of SHIELD are Hydra sleeper agents, such a Sitwell. What a turn of events that would be for Steve to find out he's been working for Red Skull. With the inclusion of Crossbones, I really think we'll see him at some point.

Anyone piece this guy together from loose parts on eBay and other places? I never picked him up but I see parts for sale all the time. Just curious if anyone went that route and what the ballpark cost would be.

Yes. I have pieced together four of them, with pieces for another three just in case.
Bodies are cheap. You can easily pick up a Dam Toys body for $10.
Heads are about $40 each, costumes maybe $50 for the trousers and tunic. Maybe $20 for the leather coat.
Boots can be bought by getting generic leather nazi jackboots. And to an extent, you can also go that route with both the uniform tunic/trousers and the leather coat too.
If you already have some parts(Boots/black gloves from other figures) or a donor body, you can throw one together very cheaply.

I reckon no single one of these figures cost me more than $60:

How cheap can you find the official grey outfit that came with this figure? Have any links for one?

I found a seller in the UK selling UV LEDs.
I am going to wire a 5mm UV LED into a battery pack and run it up his sleeve and see how it looks.
I bet it will be great!
Pics next week when it all arrives.

I recall a Freak posting a youtube vid here of his glowing cube mod that looked stellar.

Yes. That's the idea.
I have taken pics of mine holding the Tesseract with a UV torch shining on it before.
I an unsure how it will look when glowing from within.
But i'll post pics anyway.
I also have blue and white LEDs coming too in case the UV ones are rubbish.

Thanks.
I made a couple of MOS light up heads today for members on here.
Tried an LED torch and a UV torch to light up the eyes while i was making them.
Kind of a spooky look.
