for those of you with the Toy City SS uniform, are you about to stuff the bulge on both sides of the pants inward a bit or is it stuck look like that permanently? I feel like it's sticking out too much.
I noticed them as well... seems odd somehow. I am lucky enough to have a local store grab this from HK while they are there or else I would have paid at least 72$ to get one by myself (pretty hard to order anything from aboard from here with a fair price)

pics for reference (he rank is SS Obergruppenfuhrer (two star)

Before 1943, Schmidt was always dressed in a black SS uniform, wearing the rank insignia of Obergruppenführer (Lieutenant general). He wore three military decorations on the left side of the uniform, the Panzer Badge, the Wound Badge, and the Iron Cross First Class. Over the uniform, he wore the black leather coat with the HYDRA badge on the left side of the collar. His officer cap also had the HYDRA badge instead of the SS Totenkopf badge. From 1943 on, he wore the unique green uniform with the HYDRA insignia on the upper parts of the sleeves.

Thanks Barry! Once I get my shelf display set up, I'm going to take more photos with various poses. It looks amazing and I'm glad to finally have a villain to put with my Captain America collection :yess:

And he's a *great* villain. Absolutely evil to his core but, as with all villains, he truly believes he is doing good works. Which makes him all the more villainous.
I have an entire shelf dedicated to this guy!

Definitely! I always find myself saying at random times, "You coud have ze power of ze gods!" in his accent. Wonderful performance!
You should post the picture of your shelf again, I always love seeing it and I think everyone else should as well since we've had a flux of newcomers as of late.

I love some of his little quotes.
Did you catch the line that insinuates this all occurs in the Indiana Jones Universe?(Or that Indy exists in the Marvel Universe anyway).

For those of us just joining us, here is my shelf of the Red Skull(Still trying to find one last stand to complete them):

^^^ Wonderful display as always! Oh man, I did not know that, I have to think about that one, I think I missed it. Let me think over his lines again.

Great setup! Love this guy and still haven't gotten him :(

Thanks. Now is a perfect time. There are loads available for sale.

It's quite oblique.
It's only when you tie in Joe Johnstone and his body of work that the reference becomes clear.
To save you trouble, here it is:

"Yggdrasil. Tree Of The World. Guardian of wisdom. And fate, also[Discovers a wooden drawer, and uncovers the Tesseract], and the Fuhrer digs for trinkets in the desert...."

Wow, haha, Thor AND Indiana Jones in one line! Awesome, that could mean the Ark of the Covenant or the Holy Grail right? I was just thinking now, and when the Hydra soldier loses his grip and falls into the propellers of that plane he and Cap were hanging onto in the end, it reminded me of that big guy falling victim to the propeller in Raiders.

I'd say Raiders(As Joe Johnstone was the art director of vis effects on that movie), mainly because there was an actual dig site in Raiders.
And i think that there are a lot of parallels on TFA if you scrutinise it, even on a scene by scene basis. But i always thought the same thing with the guy going through the propeller.
And yes, it is cool to imagine Indy being around during the time of Cap.

talking about display and set up, here's mine

the display is rather dark in the cabinet (adjusted brightness with photoshop), so I hope
to sell it soon and move all my pieces to a detolf. RS didn't really impress me back when
the movie came out, but now having a bash piece of him on the villain looks pretty amazing.

No regret here. :wink1:

Love Red skull, one my favourite lines of his in the film is 'I embrace it proudly' said in his awesome accent, it's something I always catch myself saying :cuckoo:

I find myself saying lines that Bane used in TDKR more often.
And even worse, i do them in the Bane voice...

Very nice display there. And i love your RS bash.
I want to get that costume for another RS bash(Maybe even two, one with each headsculpt)

This figure as is is fantastic, but the bashes that you guys been putting together really put him over the top. I'm hoping to finish mine soon, I'm going for a mash up between the classic green jumpsuit Skull and the Movie.

The SS bashes are amazing. I am considering buying it myself....
