I don't know, at the end of the day I still don't get why people say it's a rip-off of the Raimi costume?

They're getting it from the same source material. There are differences to the Raimi costume in order to differentiate between the films, but at the end of the day, it's Spider-Man: He will be wearing red, blue, webbing, and a spider on the chest and back.

No point in clingy so close to Raimi's Spidey's world.

And yet they managed to make the suit in the Amazing Spiderman completely different to that in the original trilogy

Yeah, to me it's the best I've seen so far. I guess the new Superman costume sucks, too, since it's blue and red and has an "S" on the chest. *rolls eyes*

Huh..because it doesn't seem like they did it completely different.

Red + Blue? Check
Webbing? Check
Spider on the front and back? Check

The ONLY thing I have to say about the new suit is that they should have stuck with the ingraved black webbing. The raised webbing is the only thing IMO that really gives it the Raimi suit look. Other than that, like I said, it's all from the same source material.

Also I said it before and I'll say it again, we don't know what the rest of the suit will look like. Look at the first picture below.
From that picture with the top portion, you wouldn't know that he has a spiral design on his arm, that he was web shooters, or that he has his Nike sneakers.
We might as well wait until we get a full body shot of the suit before really judging it.

Looks great IMO. I do love the first one, it was indeed a nice fresh look to it but I don't blame them when everybody complained a b***h about it when it came out.

This one has it's Ultimate Universe look.

I'd love for the ASM suit to be featured and get ripped up forcing him to redeisng a new one. That's make sense at least.

yeah, but they could've redesigned it without making it exact to Raimi's one with the raised webbing and silkscreen material.

You highlighted what I said about how they use the same basic source materiel, which is R+B, Webbing, and Spider logo. You said they completely changed that with the ASM costume which they clearly didn't.

Spider-Man is Spider-Man. What I'm trying to get at is that they're creating these suits from the same source materiel.

Spider-Man is Spider-Man. What I'm trying to get at is that they're creating these suits from the same source materiel.

And what I'm saying is with the Amazing Spiderman they created a suit that looked nothing like the one Maguire had. You're never going to see the two side by side and think they're even remotely the same.

The new suit in the Amazing Spiderman 2 though looks exactly the same as Maguire's

Without the texture, the new suit just looks like silky pajamas. That or some guy cosplaying as Tobey Spider-man. Looks like I'll be getting the ASM HT Spidey after all.

Maybe its Toby in the original suit and they are going with THE CLONAGE SAGA.
