anyone in here has the ***** to try to raise his arm up straight ahead?
if so, I suggest holding the bracket with your thumb and forefinger

Yes, I think so mate.

I did the same, but the head is so cool, i haven't had the heart to do it yet.
:lol

That's why I bought 2 completes and a separate head. Just going to take my time and slowly peel it away. I've moved the mask around on my current figure and can't seem to find any place that it's attached to the head blank. That's what leads me to believe that it's fitted just like a real life mask. Once I get the lenses out and that black piece removed from the bottom, it should just pull off.

If this does work, I think it's going to look really cool with Parker holding the mask in hand. Should have been included from Hot Toys as an accessory. Would have saved me some cash.

Reckon this pose is doable?

I took the mask off a HT R&B and all that was holding it on were the lenses. Came off pretty easy. Not sure if thats how they did this one but I bet it is, anyways.

I'd be willing to bet they're put together the same way. Did the lenses pop off easily? You should post a pic of the old Spidey mask if you have one.

I cringed looking at that :rotfl

The joint is REALLY stiff. I am so tempted to try and move it around to loosen it (press the big red button syndrome) but I refuse to do it. I will give in eventually. I might want to order an extra body now. :lol

That's what stinks about this figure. You can't just swap bodies. If anything breaks on the body you have to replace the whole thing, suit and all.

I checked my photobucket (as I;ve since sold the figure) but cant find an image. I'll do a little more digging. The lenses were easy to get off. Took a little wiggling but they came off with no damage. The mask did not keep its form, though, as its just stretched over a head. It looked nice as a balled up lump of material in his hand though!

Yea, it definitely wouldn't be cheap.

This whole shoulder issue reminds me of the old Great Monster Series "Fragile Winged" Ghidorah made by Bandai back in the 80's. It looked very cool displayed with its wings attached but the slightest wrong move would break the wing tabs, hence the nick-name. Finding one flawless became a rare thing over time.

Ah well, museum pose it is. :(

that happened with the monster arts ghidorah as well. small peg used on the wing joint. i've heard of several breaking and that's not a cheap figure as well

I did not know about that one. Looks like Bandai still hasn't learned from past mistakes either. :(

I ordered mine recently through Sideshow and if the shoulders break id be willing to brave a body swap or at least try putting some different arm/shoulders on the body. Not sure a complete body swap would work with that new neck attachment. Also I'm tempted to try and make him a bit taller. It looks like the boots would be almost the same technology as the SM3 figure where it's a rubber foot under the costume.

Of course I'm the type of guy who would buy the Medi one as well and make an ultimate bash of the two.

Let us know if the eye lenses are swappable.
