I´m a big fan of the movie AND the figure.

Oh calm down

It's a forum for collectors who wish to discuss the things that they like OR dislike about a particular item

If you're for some reason scared/concerned/upset/angered by the opinions of others then don't go on the internet, i suspect you wouldn't like what you'd see there...

I would love this figure. My personal 'Big Three' are BATMAN, SUPERMAN and SPIDERMAN. I grew up reading them and they represent a fabulous memory from my childhood.

Which is why I like these darned figures so much I suppose...

But sadly, I cannot get it. At least not at the moment, as I have too many other monetary commitments directed at the HT Avengers and BCS Dr Who figures. It may be that I will have to wait for ASM II to put him with my R/B and Black-suit Spideys (Spidies, Spider-mans, Spider-men?), but rest assured that he will be there!

:goodpost:
Can we quit with term 'noob' or 'newb' (or any other variant spelling possibility) as some form of derision or insult, please?

Just as an example, Apone has over 1500 posts and yet you label him a 'noob'. But Aus fan has just 130 posts and you use him as a support to your argument.

I personally have not been active on here for too long either, having 700+ (and heading easily for my first 1000) so to this forum at least, I too am a 'noob'....

But, the truth is that I have been collection 1/6 figures for well over 11 years, starting with SSC's own James Bond and Buffy figures, so there is no way I am going to tolerate being labelled as a noob by anyone seriously. Nor should anyone else have to either.

It is a purely divisive description.

That was a public service announcement. Now back to our regular scheduled programme...
:goodpost: hey guys...I'm the noob that nova mentioned in the last post, the one responsible for the recent debate. Its funny how just because a person is new to a certain forum, some people feel that he/she shouldnt have an opinion...I too have been collecting for years,so I think I know a crapy figure when I see one.lets just hope they improve on it.

This thread sucks. See you all at release when you'll be buying the figure!

This is the original post for HT Amazing Spider-man figure. People are seeing things they don't like and you obviously don't like that. Respectfully, I say that the pictures at Comic Con look nothing like the photo reveal. Although now that I look back at that too, I see they really found ways to disguise the horrible looking neck piece. I hope you are right and that changes. I had great expectations for this but think I might cancel on it dangit

I liked the first version they showed best. I mean, the way the upper body suit gets attached to the neck. Looks less weird to me... Even if it's less accurate to the movie. It makes shoulders look more natural. Don't you think so?

As much as I want to like this figure because I really dig the way the suit looked in the movie....something is off...and I'm not buying at this point...the head seems too big maybe....something about how the head and neck are currently just doesn't look right...

Thus far I definitely do not have that OH MY GOD I MUST HAVE THIS AND WILL SELL MY LEFT NUT TO GET IT mentality...:dunno

Interest....slowly...being...lost..too...many...unfixed....flaws. Seriously, I want this figure, and it has a lot going for it, but it has some major things that need addressed before I can fully commit to it. SDCC has rocked my little toy collecting world, b/c it's shown how good some future things are, and how weak some I thought were better are.

This is a public thread, in a public forum. You don't get to tell anyone when and if they should leave. In truth, other people could well be yelling at YOU for encouraging mediocrity at Hot Toys, by endorsing this figure. But no one is, so please get over yourself.

If you cannot handle polite disagreement with your opinions, you are going to find the Internet a very rough place indeed; most people online are the opposite of polite. Begin dealing.

I hope they fix the neck on him from the proto type. I will still get him, but I can't go through another lousy neck like the Captain America. Please HTs fix the neck! :pfft:

Surprised that even HTs didn't paint the the circle part of the web shooters silver like the film. That's an easy paint job for me. :dunno

Y'know, i only just noticed but the red area of the suit, that goes down the torso to the crotch area, is the right shape. It goes down a but further and curves at the end

It's conpletely different to the prototype shown

It's strange that they've changed it from accurate to innaccurate

Here's a close-up of what i mean

Ok, discuss here is like talk to children.

I´m love the figure. I´ll purchase it.

The funny thing is that all you "haters" will also buy it, no matter what.

I´m leaving the thread.

Keep complaining. We all sure HT will listen to you.

:goodpost:

There is a guy here, can't remember who who has this phrase in his sig "i have to cancel because of one bad pic". Applies perfectly to this thread.

The one at SDCC is an old proto, one at toyhunters is the most recent and looks much better, by the time it releases it'll be even better than that.
