Nice glad to see their making steps towards improving this figure

I huge HT fan and I really enjoyed the movie but I'm not feeling this figure and after seeing the SDCC pics I wont be picking this guy up. I'm sure HT will make a better figure when the next Spider-Man movie is made, I'll wait and see what the one will be.

The one in your sig will do me nicely.

I get tired of people saying if you don't like it go away and quit nitpicking, you don't think that $200 figure should look better than just ok? Sorry but I do, and for the most part I think they have done an awesome job on MOST things, but some just plain lack and clearly looked rushed or not thought out...sorry you will have people on both sides unfortunately that is what forums usually are.

The reason people call HT the top of their field isn't because they show crappy prototype pics and then sell it exactly as it is, it's because 9/10 they put out a brilliant actual product.

So bad pictures of an old prototype don't mean much, i'll be the first to be angry if the final product is crap, but for now there's no need for outrage, saying this needs work and that needs changing is fine, but to say it's crap and i'm not buying because of these pics is about six months too early.

I'm simply confused as to why they are choosing to advertise the figure so poorly.

Hallelujah. Can I get an amen?

I totally agree with this, mark VII and any other prototypes. Believe me, I have ordered ever marvel and dc hot toy available for 2 1/2 years until this. I will probably end up getting it, but its truly the first reveal I personally have been greatly unimpressed with. But again, that's MY OPINION.

As much as I want to like this figure because I really dig the way the suit looked in the movie....something is off...and I'm not buying at this point...the head seems too big maybe....something about how the head and neck are currently just doesn't look right...

Thus far I definitely do not have that OH MY GOD I MUST HAVE THIS AND WILL SELL MY LEFT NUT TO GET IT mentality...:dunno

:joy I've had that feeling wash over me because of a figure before.

Well worst comes to worst, you can skip it and wait for Amazing Spiderman 2 to come out. We know they are going to make the movie and HT will most definetly have the licence. It will be a better and more refined figure.

I have the first Thor.. and i thought about buying the Avengers Thor head loose when it gets parted. But then.. oh.. Thor 2 is coming up, and then Avengers 2 will be after that. Does anyone doubt we will have a new HT Thor for those movies?

Compare the first Mark III to the Mark IV, in terms of quality and the Tony Stark HS. Yes theres a slight chance it won't be the exact same suit in the sequel, but the original trilogy was, maybe this will be as well.

Bottom line, no need to panic, there will be more versions of the same character coming and it will probably be better. If your not 100% loving this, then skip it and wait a year or two.

Very true there will always be others

The new head sculpt looks much better. I pre-ordered this Spiderman and the Avengers Thor before they even fixed the sculpt, because I'm completely certain that HT will alter their prototype to meet their standard. I think HT will keep improving the figures right up til they are released.

I wouldn't judge based on what was seen on SDCC, as of today that prototype has already been rejected and is now obsolete. The new version looks much better, and there could possibly be newer revisions down the line that fixes other issues not addressed yet.

Can't get past the fact it looks like Spidey has a painted Bullseye target between his nose.

Although the pattern is more or less correct with the movie design, maybe its because the lines are too thick or too dark. The movie version is slightly more fait in black and its less noticable.

It's not even a neck. Necks are part of the body; this looks like it's floating between the head and shoulders.:lol

It kinda looks like when you take the end of a finger on a latex glove and push it down inside itself, or washing up gloves as well.
