Did not notice this before! Will look great without the armor on the ribcage.

Ouch. Not very good colour matching on the damaged chest and shoulder parts! It's like it's from a different figure, lol.
Hopefully that will be fixed on the production version!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I lived by that same rule when I started collecting Hot Toys...

Now I have every Avenger figure so far on PO :lol

Captain America - CA TFA
Thor - THOR, the mighty avenger
Iron Man - Iron Man 1
Hulk - The Incredible Hulk
Black Widow - Iron Man 2
Hawkeye - Avengers

Hey! You havent broken your rule yet :wave

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I just recieved my first ever Hot Toy a few days ago, Superman, and in a way i was kinda hoping i wasnt blown away by it because i knew id want more.
But it got me hook line and sinker !

So after missing out on 89 Batman im just about to pre order the Mark VII, for all you lot with past experiance of the Iron Men that have been released so far how is this one shaping up to compare to the rest in your opinion?

Can I welcome you to the forum (HELLO!!:hi5: ) and make a recommendation..? Please do try and get yourself the 1989 BATMAN figure. It is still getting almost total universal praise.

You will have an iconic SUPERMAN, an iconic IRON MAN, and you'd want an iconic BATMAN. Really, believe me, it is a really excellent figure.

Sadly, I cannot stretch my budget far enough for IM MkVII at the moment, a bit like with Amazing Spiderman...further down the line perhaps. I need some breathing room for HULK and CATWOMAN (Nolan).

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

For me the rubber suit on the '89 Batman made it a no-go.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

There's not really any other way to do it, but having had rubber suited figures and rubber bodies in the past it's not something I really have any interest in buying again for a variety of reasons.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Rubber is what worries me about any figure. Like I've said before, too many horror stories from too many collectors that own them. :gah:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

For me, even if the rubber is 100% okay you still have the issue of it basically ruining articulation, one of the shining points of 1/6 scale stuff.

Actually they do match, but they added the burn with black, makes it look darker red. I'm fairly certain the bright red parts are the same.
