Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Actually they do match, but they added the burn with black, makes it look darker red. I'm fairly certain the bright red parts are the same.

But the ADJACENT red panels look a far different hue.
I'm not trying to cause an arguement.
Just pointing out that i hope they fix it in the final version. If you look at the pic of the three sets of panels, the red looks totally different on the battle damaged parts.

My BD MK VI is the same. The panels are supposed have battle damage, so they (I think) make it a little darker to make it look like it has soot, heat damage and burn marks on it.

I would not lose sleep over it, when it's on your shelf it's really hard to notice

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

What sort of ab movement is it same a war machine or mark 4 and 6

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

it looks similar to the MK IV and VI, there are a few shots you can see where the plates hare separating from each other.

i would hope it doesn't have the same ab mechanism as warmachine....

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Was trying to avoid getting into Hot Toys figures but out of the blue my wife told me I should get this IM because it looks so great. AAAGGHHH! How do I pass that up?

This is an open edition correct? So I can pretty much get it anytime after release?

If the wife gives the okay, then GO FOR IT!!! :yess:

And yes, its an open edition but it may be very popular. You should have some time after its release but keep in mind figures like Hawkeye are getting scarce now. You still may want to consider P.O.

Ugh. Guess I'll have to get the Mark VI LSB to go next to it so it doesn't look weird being the only 1/6 figure.

Any point in getting the exclusive edition or should I save the $$ and get the reg from Alteregocomics?

Every HT figure has a limited production run. If a figure isn't very popular (Sweeny Todd, IM Mk V) you can find them for list price well after release, but waiting more than 6 months is a gamble. For a figure like the Mk VII, which is likely to be popular, I wouldn't wait at all. The Avengers figures are going fast on their own. Add that to the hard core IM collectors out there, and this should be in high demand. I would make a decision before the release date.

Why not if you can? You're only paying a few bucks more for a much rarer toy.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I think this figure is pretty much perfect. I just can't fault this at all! :yess:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

So Hot Toys have this now officially scheduled for a April release in HK, which means the US will probably get him no earlier then May and that's without delays what else comes out in May? Ironman 3.

I can, and did..many pages back: ... note legacy studios' render is reflective of the final movie print (Bluray clips in 1080p are available) for both with & without modular parts
