Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I just recieved my first ever Hot Toy a few days ago, Superman, and in a way i was kinda hoping i wasnt blown away by it because i knew id want more.
But it got me hook line and sinker !

So after missing out on 89 Batman im just about to pre order the Mark VII, for all you lot with past experiance of the Iron Men that have been released so far how is this one shaping up to compare to the rest in your opinion?

The Mk.VII has a lot going for it.

The classic circular chest reactor like the Mk.IV. The swappable battle damaged pieces like the Mk.V and VI. A head sculpt that has the potential to be the best likeness of RDJ.

If you bought this as your first Iron Man figure, there's a very good possibility you're going to want the others too.

You've been warned. :)

Anyone else notice that it says…

Fully deployed air flaps at back of the armor with built-in metal flaps

…yet there appear to not be any on the prototype?

BEST IM yet.............

Re: Hot Toys - MMS185 - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I'm really stoked to own this and I love the added customization available with all the extra parts. As cool as it is to have the weapons actually come out of the armor as with the Mk VI, the extra forearms will (so long as they detach easily) hopefully help make him feel a bit more solid and less breakable. However, since the wrist problem has now clearly not been addressed with this release, I'm pretty bummed that we didn't get another set of forearms with the hands in a fixed firing position. It would solve the problem of the pivoting hand guards and the internal lighting, plus they would likely get more use than forearm rockets . Seems like a no-brainer to me :dunno

Did not notice this before! Will look great without the armor on the ribcage.

Oh ____, that picture also shows him without the shoulder missile pods. I didn't notice that before. So apparently they are displayable as ejected.

son of a b...this just made my day

Much like the metal flaps, they seem to have not highlighted that option. It's like there's too much ____ to display on the figure for them to show it all off.

Are you quite sure about that?

Looks like there are metal parts in the upper flaps too. I know it's easily overlooked, but it's all there.

the metal flaps never made any sense to me to begin with. in the movie they are what pushed up the airflaps, they never ever separated from them because of this.

the only thing they did was become an annoyance on the older IM HT's. gluing them to the flaps on the MK IV and VI makes a world of difference

=O
