The Mark VII broken down completely. I REALLY want that table underneath it.

panties appear like they could be hard plastic built right into the back half of the body chassis :yess:

I looked at this pic of all the pieces that make up the new Mark7 from HT, and now I do not feel so bad that prices are going up. That is a **** load of parts to assemble and paint. WOW...I can't wait to get mine in hand.:impatient:

Lets say that each mold to be tooled for production of each part costs about $200-$1000 depending on part size and complexity. Pricey.

230ish parts.

Damn.

About a dollar a part?

no head sculpt in there or base or connecting pins and screws. so probably closer to a dollar per part almost exactly....if not a little more

doesn't seem too pricey when its broken down does it

Got mine for about $227, less than a dollar for each part plus licenses. :yess:
Good deal. :clap

panties with the fading issues are not rubber, they are vinyl which is a form of soft plastic. the material tends to absorb portions of soluble pigments from applied paints as time goes on.

custom painting vinyl things like munny's has taught me this. the silver base used has no soluble pigments to be absorbed. the silver coloring is coming from metallic flake, an insoluble. the red however is a soluble pigment.

im assume HT thought (or had no idea it was an issue) the using the silver as a base coat would prevent this...like a clear coat, but obviously it did not

ok so that makes sense now in the iron man fade thread I put up a link to a customizer who used a silver base paint before he applied the red paint when he repainted his pink panties and I guess that is why the we only so far have seen this issue with the mark3,4,and 6.

I wonder if this issue will show up in the mark 5 ?
