Ok are you a female? Last 2 posts were asking if we Lift weights and commenting on beautiful men......:lecture
Rolling out of left field there.:lol
Or is this humor?

I'm a dude haha it was just humor. I don't understand why they can't land a food face sculpt; Bruce Wayne was the best (my opinion)

I guess it was a little. I've had the mark VII on PO since the middle of August. I went back and forth on it a lot the last couple of months, but when it finally came out, I was just kind of wishing it was the Mark VI. Seeing the comparison pics was just the final nail for me. Its okay though, I like the 42 a lot more, so I'm fine with that being my Iron Man representation for the time being. Even though I wont see it for another year.

My guess is that you'll get the best of both worlds when Avengers 2 comes out. I can totally see Joss carrying over an evolution of the segmented, autonomous tech of the XLII to an iconically colored red-and-gold suit, thereby saving the greatest mark for Thanos and giving Robert one hell of a sendoff. :rock If it isn't the Bleeding Edge, then I'd hope it to be an immediate predecessor.

A film version of the Bleeding Edge would be absolutely amazing. I think we will see some sort of upgraded version of the XLII in Avengers 2, like you said. I'm only hoping that the overall designs will look cool, and that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch look more like their 616 counterparts as opposed to the Ultimate ones.

Been dying for an HT IM but still haven't seen one that I'm dying for yet. This one is the best by far, but I do prefer the triangular arc reactor than the circle. Should've pulled the trigger on IM VI but hope that the Avengers 2 model will knock my socks off.

I like the colors... Would make for an interesting exclusive.

Hello everyone. I've been browsing the forums for a little while now, but this is only my second post. I'm also brand new to collecting, and this will be (technically) my first HT figure. Anyways, I just have a question for those of you who buy locally. I have mine reserved at a local store here in Ohio, and my question is this: When do you think I can expect to have this figure in hand? The owner of the store said he doesn't know when they will arrive, he just said "maybe sometime in June." I've never been through this process before, and I've never bought from this particular store before. So does anybody have an idea of when a local store in Ohio will receive these?

Thanks everyone, and great discussions, btw.

Welcome fellow Ohioan. :wave

Fantastic gallery! Thank you! :clap

Yes he is.

1) A giant inaccurate head that looks terrible from any angle.
2) Poor LED head lighting system and potentially bad LED wiring
3) Chicken elbows with bunched up rubber joints.
4) RDJ's Mexican stunt double's head sculpt.

A lot....:lol

But it does have battle damage pieces!

giant head? I always thought the HT Iron Man heads were too small, but if anything, the eyes are huge.

Time for another look.....

BTW look closely -- this camera has some weird azz warping going on. Check out the second pic, MK VI weird oval head but in pic four it looks nice and round.

I agree with you totally. I wasn't going to say it first, because it seems like folks are really set on judging based on pics alone. Most any camera pictures cause strange perspective warping.

IMO..the Mark7 looks great. HT finally addressed what HT IM fans have been complaining about for years, that the figures head had no ability to look up, for flight poses. HT IM fans also complained that the Armors were too small to be in correct scale to fit a scale person in. HT has addressed that by making the Mark7 Taller and larger then previous Marks. HT IM fans always said the helmet was to narrow and small to be the right scale for an armor suit, so they made the helmet a bit bigger to address that.
All in all I am very pleased with what I have seen in these pictures so far, and have no doubt I will be even more pleased once I have this figure in hand.
Now to be honest with myself, as others have stated, the eyes look a bit large, but not so much as others have stated. I plan on frosting the face plate eyes so they don't look so hollow and the light from behind illuminates the whole eye, and not leaving the outer edges unilluminated.
As for the elbow joints, I also agree that they are a bit narrow, but again, not enough to through the baby out with the bath water.
Over all IMHO this is the best looking Mark suit from HT yet.

I am a 40 year old man, 6' 2", 220lb weight lifter, and Network Engineer. So the size of my HT collection is the least of my Phallic symbols....:rotfl....just poking fun, please don't take it personally fellas.:)

I have to admit, I was trolling a bit on purpose yesterday for my own entertainment. I wanted to push and see what point negative figure talk got the townies all up at arms with the torches. But not maliciously, just enough to keep the convo going.

It's funny that in the Mark VII BD thread the sidebars got slammed about getting off topic with the figure and people were B&M ing. Then over here when critical comments about this Mark VII came up (during a figure launch week) people B&M about it. Clearly people are very emotial about their dollie collections here.:lol

I'm sure the volume of my postings were getting agitating for people, but that is because so many of us hound the same thread and read it ALL DAY.Alternatively in a less viewed thread where these comments would be made once per page, it would not have seemed so repetative.I personally do hate the head, but lets get more in hand reviews and see what people are feeling about the figure in the coming weeks. :duff

LOL.. I get you too Hokietwo. I myself like trolling every once and a while.
I agree with you too that some folks take their "Dollie Collections" :rotfl...a little too seriously.
No bromance intended here :duff, but your posts are some of my favorites to read on here. You don't BS, and you don't take yourself too seriously.
This hobby lets us indulge that 8 year old kid we all still have inside of us.

I agree that this Mark7 has some picking points, as I stated before, but all in all, I still think it looks great IMO...It's like having the wrong door handles on a 68 Camaro, sure it's noticeable, but I sure as hell am still happy to have one.

Keep up the great posts man..:clap

Yup, those pics at first glance really threw me... until I started looking harder at them. Now I have to disregard them since there's so much warping. Going to have to wait for many more pics.

Would also help if I could get this ordered. :lol Even with the odd problems I still have a hankerin' for this figure.

Quick question:

Does the MK VII have an ARTICULATED/"scalloped" waist, or is is one solid unmoving piece like in the first versions?

Basically, my question is: Can he articulate or move his abs "inward" or "outward"?

I hated that about the first version and sold mine. I am still deciding whether to get the MK IV or MK VII...

You can see the moveable abs in the pics on the first page.
