Hmmm... Can't say. My guess is its not, the shape at the base does not match :dunno

Anyways, glad you asked, I watched my first Whisky review :duff :lol

Ahh, ol' Ralfy Mitchell, I'm subscribed to his channel :lol loves me some scotch

Yeah, the bottle shape is similar, i was looking at my own bottles last night and trying to compare the base

hmmm, which Whisky is Tony drinking? according to Staine 'He always gets the good stuff'

You could easily make one yourself.
Or i could make you one.

Why in gods name would you want to get one made?! You could just buy one a lot cheaper on ebay? And have a proper HT version that matches the other stands you already have?

You are a very strange chap User? I think you seem like a nice guy, but I've seen you in thread after thread saying you are going to make this, offering to make that. Most of which never comes into fruition. I hate to say it but it comes across as attention seeking? I can't wait to see the 1/6th scale TDKR Bat you talked about making for pages and pages of the DC thread. ??!! I think you are probably a creative guy, but honestly stop all the thing about what you might make until you have done it? I think it's cool to inspire and help junior members or people who cannot mod themselves, I do it quite a bit myself, but I've seen you give non sound advice to people and make promises that you can't keep, which is unfair I think. And posting pics of your extensive sandpaper collection doesn't count ok?

:peace

Which promises have i made that i didn't keep? I'm going to need an answer on that.
I have the blueprints for the Bat on hold till i can find somewhere that can print them out in 1/6. Till then, there's no point proceeding with scaled plans that are accurate but in the wrong scale. I can transpose scales, but it takes time.
No deposits were taken. I just said i will build it when i can(But my day job has been busy).
I build stuff all the time for members here.
It's true i float ideas about and some don't get any interest so i don't proceed with them.
If you can point out something i took payment for that i didn't deliver, please be sure and point it out.
I know you have some sort of vendetta against me, but i am not sure why, or where your animosity comes from.

I haven't at all. The post above is something which I hadn't the ***** to post a week ago when I saw User doing the same thing in here as he has done in the DC threads. When I saw it happening in here I thought I would let it go. But I had to pick User up on some of the BS he was posting. I shouldn't have, my bad. The comment earlier about the "IM Light Up Stand" tipped me over into saying how I feel. I have no issues whatsoever with someone modding, customising etc, I do a lot of it myself. But it really pains me to see a member lead people on. That's what happened in the DC threads, people were falling over him because he said he would make a 1/6 scale Bat, I questioned him at the time on how the hell he would do it, as I didn't think it was doable/shippable to multiple orders. And of course it wasn't. He just disappeared, saying he couldn't get the plans copied or some BS.

User has posted video's of his workshop, pics of his sandpaper, pics of very little of any substance. I know blagging when i see it, and it just goes on for pages and pages, where anyone who wants what he is promising, will fawn over ever post. Well I'm calling it out.

I have zero issue with Username himself, why would I? I turn down commissions myself everyday. Why? Because I don't have the time to properly service work that is offered to me. It wouldn't be fair to get peoples expectations up. There's the rub. That is all User is doing. Attention seeking.

To conclude, this is obviously my opinion and i would dearly love Username to prove me wrong. I think he has it in him.

Ask yourself one question, why on earth would someone randomly offer to make another member a IM light up stand? One that already exists and are all over ebay?

Hmmm....?

And I will add this "peace smiley" at the end as it seems like the thing to do..

Its because you sanded the eyes on the mark vii and didn't give him credit lol

Yeah. I think he came up with all the cool ideas.

Quote for your convenience is the post in question.
He asks for a generic FLIGHT stand.
Which i could make for $20.
He doesn't mention lights.
I'll ignore your posts from now on if you can see your way clear to ignoring mine if my posts offend you.
Here's what the guy said:
Does anyone know of a nice generic flight stand that can be used on Hot Toys IM figures? They really should all come with a flight stand but for some reason don't.

Thanks for any help!

Thanks.
I am glad i am not imagining it.

Not to jump into the fray here, but just ignore him. Every so often he picks a pointless fight with someone and then, after it builds to a mess, he shuts down his account, and disappears for a while.

Here's what the guy said:

Thanks for posting that again, very helpful.
He was clearly referring to the stock HT flight stand. Which is generic. As he mentioned some HT IM figures come with the stand others don't.

You tend to blanket bomb threads otherwise I would indeed ignore your posts.

I have never shut my account down. I did take leave from here once. What of it?

It's cool. I have added him to the ignore list. The forum will ignore him for me.
Whatever makes you happy mate, means sod all to me. :lol

Just saw this earlier at a lcs display. Just WOW!
Haters gonna hate, but man it's just huge and the head looks mighty fine!

Not fanning flames here, but Rory is very active contributor and much more on other threads outside of marvel. He is very skilled at customizing figures, check his thread and you'll see a marvelous collection of customized HT figures. He does have great suggestions and helps members on things much more than most know.

The rub on Barry is coming from way back when he started. He was in DC "the bat" thread daily pumping it up saying he could build it easily and a lot of new folks were fawning.
He was posting his workshop YT vid any chance he got. When the gantry came out he was over here chirping to build the avengers version. He does post a lot on many threads and is more vocal than most on what he is going to build. It's his volume of attempts vs the output that Rory alluded to that sent him over the edge. Barry is a nice guy, but it can come across as attention grabbing sometimes.

His frustrations I think are more so coming from this Marvel section. The newer members lately are young Marvel fanatics geeked up from the movies and they are definitely a different breed outside of say DC and other threads. People in here think HT makes perfect figures and to post negative comments of the figures are dismissed as people crying. The marvel board in general is filled with fodder posters.

The DC board and other boards are much more mature and easy going. The threads are filled with people that accept HT figures as flawed and they help to correct the issues on the figures. They don't ***** at each other they all try to fix the issue and not deny it is there like this iron man figure with the eyes and mouth on its head. Visit any Batman or custom DC thread and you will see this is true. They all would be trying to fix it.

I am beginning to understand why so many folks from the DC section never venture over here. Just my observation.

:lol It used to be the DC threads that had a lot of troublemakers.

How times change..

Thank you, very well said (much better than I did). That was exactly my intent. :hi5:

I haven't seen the thread on the 1/6th Bat so don't know any history (or not) between either of you.

The main issue, from an outsider's view (as you can see I don't post much but have enjoyed many of the posts from yourself and Username), is that your posts have of late just been coming across as snippy towards Username.

Yeah, they may have come across like that, and as I said earlier, I regret that, my bad. This is why I tried to deal with my issues head on in the post to Username earlier. Rather than pulling him up on his posts, I should have done this straight away. Anyway I've said what I've said, I don't want to initiate a 10 page long slagging match so I will leave it alone now.

But for the record, I actually don't have any negative history with Username, in fact I was one of the first freaks to welcome him when he joined. I have just observed his behaviour across a multitude of threads for the last couple of years. hokietwo pretty much covered it perfectly in his post.

Thanks.
I am glad i am not imagining it.

Even I noticed it, and I'm around the forums twice a week.. I barely read anything :( I don't have much time I just look for news of the figures

I know you contribute a lot here with your cutoms/ideas :clap and right now I don't have the money or.. talent to do that :lol so its intresting to see what people can come up with

The custom posts and ideas are good. Unfortunately the Marvel section does not have a customs sub thread due to lack of projects. So it's all smashed together which can clog up figure talk and can lead to nit pick fights. In other forums there may be a custom thread for the IM head and that talk would be housed in there instead of the main thread.

Other sections like Star Wars, GI joe and DC have more diorama work that lends more to a customs section which is very lacking on Marvel as well.
