Not fanning flames here, but Rory is very active contributor and much more on other threads outside of marvel. He is very skilled at customizing figures, check his thread and you'll see a marvelous collection of customized HT figures. He does have great suggestions and helps members on things much more than most know.
The rub on Barry is coming from way back when he started. He was in DC "the bat" thread daily pumping it up saying he could build it easily and a lot of new folks were fawning.
He was posting his workshop YT vid any chance he got. When the gantry came out he was over here chirping to build the avengers version. He does post a lot on many threads and is more vocal than most on what he is going to build. It's his volume of attempts vs the output that Rory alluded to that sent him over the edge. Barry is a nice guy, but it can come across as attention grabbing sometimes.
His frustrations I think are more so coming from this Marvel section. The newer members lately are young Marvel fanatics geeked up from the movies and they are definitely a different breed outside of say DC and other threads. People in here think HT makes perfect figures and to post negative comments of the figures are dismissed as people crying. The marvel board in general is filled with fodder posters.
The DC board and other boards are much more mature and easy going. The threads are filled with people that accept HT figures as flawed and they help to correct the issues on the figures. They don't ***** at each other they all try to fix the issue and not deny it is there like this iron man figure with the eyes and mouth on its head. Visit any Batman or custom DC thread and you will see this is true. They all would be trying to fix it.
I am beginning to understand why so many folks from the DC section never venture over here. Just my observation.
