Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Hopefully that means we will get a full reveal soon, so I can decide whether to get the MkVII or the new DX Batman. It can only be one :monkey2

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

bare arms/shoulders?

Yes.....

Bare shoulders, and unless there is a way to them that HT have not yet revealed to us...bare arms. Yes I know it's only the prototype that will be seen, but the proto is what you show people to get them interested. Didn't Howard say recently that the Hulk would have joints partly covered and partly not. Looking at this...I assume he was referring to Hulk's trousers :slap.

The 'botched reveal' type affair, has been the exact problem with the Amazing Spiderman 1/6 photos. I do hope that this will not happen on such an important figure the THE AVENGERS line-up as The Incredible Hulk.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I'll wait and see the Proto Pics I've no problems with it, if it has visible joints it's fine at least it has articulation. Good thing HT is doing this kind high detailed figures

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Wait, were you guys expecting Hulk to have a jacket on or something ?

I think the general concensus was that the joints would be covered with rubber, like the sealed silicone female bodies you can get that have an internal skeleton and solid rubber exterior.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

what is the last fig ht made with joints covered with rubber? anybody knows?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

From that pic Hulk looks like he'll have a rubber covered torso and uncovered arms which is fine with me as that way works just fine on the Bruce Lee figures.

And as expected the Mark VII looks just fine when set up properly.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Ha, what? People are upset? Well if you want a figure covered in rubber that is just going to end up all torn up, be my guest. I'd rather not take the chance. These are still toys after all, seeing the joints is just part of it.

Don't envy your choice there, my man. Both figures look great.

I personally am not upset by bare articulation at all. It should still be a great figure. I was thinking more along the lines of us being told one thing and something else actually happening...ie BW's sculpted then actually rooted hair.

And yes the Mk VII looks totally badass there. A definite 'buy' for me.

Well, we still haven't seen everything, and I think some things Hot Toys says are somewhat.. dependent on POV (Black Widow not withstanding). I understand though, and I just try not to get upset too often. The MKVII does look awesome there though, come on full reveal. :yess:
