Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Butler can pull of an American accent. And, as a bonus, he doesnt have to sound like he has a mouth full of potatoes to try to get an intimidating voice lol

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Some ideas for batman...

Gerard Butler
Hrithik Roshan
Jake Gyllenhaal
Colin Ferrell
Scott Elrod
Joe Manganiello
Paul Walker
Kellan Lutz
Matt Bomer

Matt Bomer is the onlynone on this list that I could see doing it. He actually has the perfect look.

No, he just has to sound like he has a mouthful of potatoes to pull off an American accent.:lol

If they want to go younger, I actually would like to see Bomer. He seems like he's a good actor, and, seeing White Collar, I could see him as the billionaire playboy. He did a good job as Superman in Unbound, though, too.

That was a great film. John Noble nails Brainiac. I even liked Lois' voice actress. Bomer has a nice presence. I would not be upset with him getting the cowl.
I hope they go with a version of the Arkham video game costume. It would look excellent with Cavil's suit.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Bomer looks a bit like Cavill. So I don't he fits in since people might think Supe and Bat are brothers

:horror Please GOD not the Arkham suit with the undies.

It's funny cause for a long while, Bruce and Clark were drawn strikingly similar. Save for the glasses.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Even in the story, they're supposed to look pretty similar to one and other; to the point where Clark has actually put on the cowl on a few occasions.

As far as suits go, I'd love some sort of amalgam between the Arkham suit and the New 52 suit.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I'm not a fan of that for live action films, especially when they are trying to look modern instead of using 60's designs from the comics...

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

As long as the suit has a beastly quality. He looked too artificial in Nolans version. And the shape of the mouth hole needs to go back to having right angles. I didn't like the oval shape and Bale's mouth looked awful. We need a Batman chin again

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

This post, if anyone reads it, may be a little different than most but I just had to say a few things that I think its funny all this talk back n forth about who Batman should be and what he should look like, the actor should be unknown yet known, etc etc. :lol It is pretty funny reading it all...:lol

Idk, just thinking about all this, arguing & debating about this kind of stuff really makes no sense because we have 0.0000% say in any of it. I just rather sit back and let the filmmakers do their thing and we will see what happens. Overthinking things i just feel these days tend to ruin things for the viewers. Some get too caught up in it, and they seem to be so stressed about it. And by the time the movie comes out they have over analyzed it all to death, they aren't able to enjoy the movies. Just wait until it starts filming and all the fan pix from behind the scenes pop-up too. idk, i guess fans have always been like this, but with the internet there is just more exposure and it never stops 24/7.

Other thing is that there are millions of fans all over the world, Freaks is like a tiny fractions of the fans, and I just think its impossible to please everyone as so many have their our own version in their heads what these characters should and should not be. Snyder, Goyer & Nolan do too. Their task, or any creators doing comic book movies, have it really tough because of the complex and long histories of the characters and the fans can incredibly critical of the smallest detail even if the fans are wrong or have ideas that just make no sense. And the issue is the fans always think they are right.

I guess people find it fun to talk about this stuff. But for me, I just like sitting back and see what the creators come up with.

But dont mind me, carry on...if anyone else feels the same as me, cool. If not, just have fun and just try not to be so stress about all this stuff. :)

back to the festivities.....:)

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

All of this Batman talk has kept me out of this thread...

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Wise words Morphosis. However this whole thing points out yet again why I don't want Batman in Superman's movie: in essence Superman is a second stringer in what ought to be his own film. We never see Batman forced to share billing but I guess because he is the invader not the invaded - this somehow makes it all ok.

Then we have the issue of the villain. Smart money says we will get a glimpse or two of Luthor and then its gonna be Joker time baby. UGH!!!!! I just wanted to see Cavill do what he does without the distraction of people whining aboutRyan Gosling as Batman. Or whatever crap they end up forcing on us.

My longwinded point- I agree with you about over-analyzation but I just think Superman's second film here should BE ABOUT SUPERMAN.

Ps. Autocorrect BITES.

Agreed.
It should be this guy, it should be that guy! And the inevitable reply: I hope it's NOT that guy...
I think the only thing i'd say is that i seriously hope it's not any of the clowns mentioned above.

I'm sure you know this(Not everyone does), but the word "Fan" is short for FANATIC...
And that covers a lot of crazy.
I love hearing about an exciting movie being made. Sometimes, it's almost better than the movie itself, because against your best judgement, you *do* get hyped up a bit.

Indeed. It's an exciting time to be a*fan*...

If there are some absolute idiots out there that think Batman and Superman are brothers because they look alike, i don't want to hear about them, lol.
I'll try and forget about them.
And get back to enjoying the festivities.
