Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I agree too, I think he would do a great job as Batman/Bruce Wayne. I'm not too sure about his height though.

He is not that short though is he? At the very least I'm sure he's taller than Keaton :)

(add appropriate number here)

:rotfl I have been saying this to myself for the last 4 years! :rotfl Guess what, nothing has changed for us, regardless of us say, that's it...no more HOT TOYS.

Yeah because like that is ever going to happen! :slap

:lecture

Good point. I should start looking for a second job then.

PLEASE GOD KILL THIS IDEA WITH FIRE!!! He has already ruined Kirk(though he's had lots of help) The guy is wooden. He plays smartass very well, but seems not to have any other mode. Karl Urban is the better choice.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I like the idea of Armie Hammer as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Thought he did well as the Lone Ranger and would make a pretty good Batman

Yea I don't think the casting director reads this forum. So no need to worry.

Karl is a good choice for his voice and lower part of his face. His eyes? Not too sure.

There are great actors out there that can fit the role who have the Batman/BW looks, like, say, Sam Worthington, Jensen Ackles, that bloke from the new Hawaiian Five-O and my personal best pick Hugh Jackman (though people see him as Wolverine so it's a no go) so let's just speculate to out hearts content.
:hi5:
But please for the love of all that is sacred in the world do NOT cast Gosling. Nothing against the guy but he's too cute to play Batman.

I agree No Gosling! I agree with Jensen Ackles! Sam Worthington can't act. I agree about the guy from Hawaii Five-O. I'm also going to throw Michael Fassbender and Benedict Cumberbatch in there. Cumberbatch impressed me as Khan(even though I hate the movie). He had a darkness that is perfect for Bruce. I also like Luke Evans.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Batman played by the same guy who brilliantly played the role of Sherlock Holmes? I'd love to see Cumberbatch as Batman but he's too lanky though.

Fassbender has the same problem as Jackman. His face belongs to Marvel. Not too sure about Luke Evans...

42's not that old. Downey was over 40 when he took on Iron Man, and I see no complaints there, and, considering that Iron Man's just a cheap knock off of the Batman archetype, I'd say Hamm's fine, age wise, for an older, more experienced Batman. As for if he can be intimidating, have you seen The Town? Great film with a great performance by Hamm.

It's different in the sense that Hamm would have to actually be in a suit doing action and martial arts. Iron Man is like 99% CG so Robert really was never in the suit doing action scenes like say Bale in the Batman suit and what Hamm would have to do as Batman. And I'm not knocking Hamm as an actor at all and saying he can't be intimidating but I just don't think he could pull off the Batman they'll have to do for this new team up movie. They will need a younger actor in the suit of Batman to look as old as Cavill and a physique to rival Cavill's as well.

Nevertheless, you'd still have stunt men, etc. in place of a CGI suit. There are other options.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I was hoping for someone unknown or lesser known actors...

I agree, I don't want to be thinking "Hey! There is Bruce Wayne! Or is that King Leonidas?" But if it had to be a well known actor, Butler would be near the top of my list...

Funny that's who I've been thinking of for Batman lately. I haven't seen a ton of his movies, but if he can pull off an American accent, I think he would be good.

I don't want Batman to be a complete unknown, but either someone who has been around for a little bit, like Bale at the time, or a veteran actor to not ruin the character.
