Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Yes :yess: We got into it together. The first figures we ever saw at 1:6 scale were the SSC 007 line, Connery/Bond and Dr. No figures. We bought them and that was that!

But she has her own 'subsection' of the collection, the Superman and 007 sections.

She sounds like a keeper! :yess:

My wife and daughter collect Monster High dolls. You be amazed how much some of them go for in the aftermarket too! Price equivalent to a HT figure!!! :thud:

As for Matt Damon...

I think I'm going to finally cave and get this. My local shop still has him for PO so what the hell! :)

Just preordered this guy, surprised he hasn’t sold out yet.

U mention in the PF thread that you thought the PF sculpt unpainted looked like Cavill. So which of these sculpts do you think is better Hot Toys or PF?

Ooo good question haha that's a tough one. If we're going painted proto to painted proto, I'd go with HT for sure. But I think unpainted, they both are homeruns honestly. What I like about the HT sculpt is different than what I like the PF. Like the HT one looks determined and focused which works great for a poseable figure but what I like about the SS one is it has this bit if a "searching" look in the eyes/brow to me which is what the core of the movie is about, him finding himself.

Well both have their cons and pros IMO.

The Hot toys one looks like it has better likeness overall but the jaw and chin are too feminine as the jaw line is quite round instead of square.

The PF doesn't really look like Cavill to me but the jaw shape is squarer and thus, more masculine which is more accurate to Cavill's jaw.

So if you could combine the attributes of the pros on the PF to the Hot Toys sculpt you would have the perfect sculpt IMO.

Regardless of whether someone liked the movie for not I think we can all agree that Cavill did a great job as Superman. Plus the suit is cool too.:lol

I didn't like the movie but I have to agree, Cavill did a great job as Superman, some critics said he was too emo, I honestly did not get this at all, if anything he was the opposite IMO.

Yeah suit is cool, my favorite suit ever! :hi5:

Yup, hated the movie, but I though Cavill was pretty good.
