It's more expensive than Hulk, I Monger, etc. because all IM stuff sells like hot cakes. If your product keeps selling out, it's time to raise the price.

Its funny the only IM3 that is sold out is War Machine . I had 99% of my collection stolen last year. So I'm having to rebuild my collection. I have a lot to get . This will be one of the ones I get. The new Yes anime 1/4th super alloy figures are 600 for pre-order. Its cool its blue . I think its a great figure to go with the hulk if you have one .

Monger was $30 cheaper. He was a character in IM1. Came out almost a year ago, probably a little more than that I guess.

Igor is $510, and from a franchise that has, is and will make HT millions. That's the reason why.

Anyone who wouldn't do what HT is doing if you all were to run a business raise your hand....

They may reach a tipping point on this one. Too many folks just unwilling or unable to pick this up.

And I, too, would love to see the end of the HT Ironman factory, despite how cool the figures are.

There's already enough red and gold suits. I get tired of all the same colors, don't you guys like some variety? I personally hate that they made nightclub red and gold in the film when his concept was black. Kinda ruins his name doesn't it? But to each their own I guess.

It is overpriced, yes, but by how much? No one will exactly know. Common business sense along with the pages and pages of explanation pretty much point to HT not making hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on this. You have not shown any facts that support you claim which just tells me at this point your just trolling. Most likely because you want it but cant get it.

And FYI the iron monger was $480, its pretty much about the same size except that was before IM figures went on the craze. So this isn't the first time an iron man figure was around this price and wont be the last.

For all those who complain it will sell out and then go for far more on eBay. Not to mention when it starts shipping in Asia people will pay even more than retail to get it first. Then others will be upset they didn't get it at retail because it sold out.

Collectors behavior effect prices. People need to look in the mirror and realize they are a huge reason why prices go up. Not the only reason, but a big reason

I am agree with you. Also thats why hot toys only produced and realeased more of iron man and batman toys lineup when the other line up(ex: spidey, xmen, etc) is just the main character that has been released because the demand doesnt quite a lot i think. I am iron man fans but not just iron man, so sometimes its been sad to see the others line up didnt get most of the character to be release. And dont blame the company for that. Its us that have a big role.

I'm starting to feel this way too. Removable chest plate, leg panels would be neat on a suit this size. It's a shame they didn't do a bit more with this one.

I suppose there's only so much they can do with a suit that was in the movie for 5 seconds though. I really wish HT had more knowledge of the movie before they started working on suits. Before the movie was even out, Hearthbreaker, Igor, and Red Snapper were announced/teased. The only suits that were called by name in the script (Other than mk 42/Iron Patriot, of course). I wish Marvel gave them a heads up and simply said "Stark wears this suit, that suit, etc...''

Yeah i agree! Too many secrets on marvel with their movie. Its fine to keep it but not that much and twist it 180 degree. They keep teasing us so many suits but in the end all that suits ended up in a short time screen.

what's going on here?

Let's talk about the figure and not fight about things we all don't know for sure.
Of course it's okay to say if one thinks it's to expensive or if it's not and of course we can discuss production and license costs, number of items they make and things like that, but imo nobody should fight and argue about that, as I think we can all agree, that we all don't really now the values.

Imo the figure looks great, think there's no doubt about it, but I'm not sure yet if I can justy spending that amount on it.

I was really expecting this to price in at $350-375 worst case back then. I suck at guesstimates.
