The reactor is believable somehow.
But Tony flying any faster than 50MPH just strains the suspension of disbelief...(I wonder what makes 50MPH the magic number).
An armour that is skin tight(II, III, IV, VI, VII, and especially the smaller MKV), screwed together but water/airtight, can protect the user from any impact no matter how large, can fly using a magical thruster device that accepts electricity in one end from a reactor, and pumps out raw thrust on the other end, and it's the AERODYNAMICS of a larger suit(Which, ironically, has a LOT more internal area for larger thrusters) that isn't believable.
So. We have a guy here who watches sci-fi movies but can't enjoy them due to them being unrealistic.
I think we have a physics professor in our midst fellas...
Either that, or a maths teacher.
No, they are rockets that draws imagination from the atmosphere and then fictionally converts it into rocket fuel and other kinds of awesome spawning many fans
What is the power source of the rockets/jets? Are they rockets that draw moisture from the atmosphere and then electrically convert the water to rocket fuel, or are there fans involved as in a jet?
Right. Copyright violation is serious stuff. Its because Stark didn't want to copy Wolverine in any way. He's way to classy for that.
Captain America is the one with the Adamantium/ Vibranium alloy shield.
Physicist, biologist, chemist, nutritionist, ventriloquist and everything else in between.So. We have a guy here who watches sci-fi movies but can't enjoy them due to them being unrealistic.

Aha! The forums acting weird yesterday....Blackthorne just broke teh internertz.
Hey all, long time lurker of the forums, first time posting. I am curious, where can I find any pictures of this guy next to some other IM figures? I'm trying to wrap my head around how big (height and width) this is compared to others. I saw one back on page 95, but has anyone seen others?
Wow! I too think $510 is expensive. But considering its size, I'm not too surprised since the Monger wasn't much cheaper and released a while ago.
What I'm happy about is the way SS is handling the Flex preorders. I like their payment plan of 8 smaller payments. ($57 for 8! ) Much easier on my wallet! So bravo to SS for doing that!
I just wish they would spread out payments like this for cheaper figures too. Especially if the toy's release is many months out. This way, it would make it easier to have multiple preorders at the same time.
For example, the new Wolverine is released next May but you only get the Flex option of 3 payments of $75. SS could have easily spread the payment plan out more like they did for Igor. Again, if you'd like to have multiple preorders, smaller flex payments make that more feasible and possible.
Actually, it doesn't. It just feels like it.
You can save that money on your own/set it aside and it would work just as well. The problem is, most people would spend it on other things instead.

There was a scene that was cut even before filming that would have had Stark, I'm guessing in an Iron Man suit (Red Snapper would have worked well, imo) clearing old Stark Industries landmines. Kinda would have set the mood for IM3 with old demons coming back to haunt Tony. It's a shame it was cut out.
In the Art of IM3 book there is some concept art for the bomb disposal suit. Not the Red Snapper, but would've made a neat little addition.
Cool pics. And a great idea.
Do you have the Art Of The Avengers book?
Awesome Artwork! I didn't realizes there even was any of this scene. I'll have to grab the IM3 book. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, regardless of what the movie was (and wasn't) I still love looking at the design concepts and iterations of the suits - but then again that could just be the engineer in me.
Does anyone know where I can order this with nothing down? I'd like to get an order somewhere with no deposit so I have the option to cancle and go with SS with available rewards points closer to the release date.
I was going to say to order from Bigbadtoystore.com, but I can't believe it sold out of it's preorders already.
