I would bet a lot people who ordered this never heard of a space trooper before this was released. To many characters to make and they are wasting time on this.

On the other hand: I doubt I'll be ordering this, but I have now heard of a space trooper.

I thought on announcement that this release was a waste of time too at first, but from the interest shown in this thread, clearly not.

Why would they develop a whole new SW figure and not make it a general release?

this is really the perfect Con exclusive / commemorative... not a "must have" for some, but a very cool figure for those of us who want a little canonical diversity within our collection.

Got one for half off using RP and since it will convert to a regular ST I couldn't pass it up. Couldn't give two ****s whether it was a con ex or not.

I agree. I fall under the category of one who does not need this figure. It does look pretty cool though.

Honestly that wouldn't have done a thing for me and would've felt gimmickly, along with adding another $30 or $50 to the price. Glad they didn't go that way. If it wasn't on-screen, I have no interest.

Just discovered this thread today. Didn't read much more than half of the first page. I never knew these guys existed..... I love discovering "new" things about Star Wars after twenty years of being a fan!

I also didn`t notice these troopers outside the death star wore a spacepack. Have always said FAIL...now the joke is on me. All those details in that galaxy.
I got to have this!! I don`t expect SS to add the spacetrooper addition to their overused stormtrooper PF (would have been boring). I would certainly buy a new PF mold for spacetrooper from SS though.

Yeah I realize it's a stretch (they'd never even consider it of course), but hey - it's the only time Hasbro can boast that they've got one over HT.

I can't say I'm not tempted to get this, but I think I'll abstain from this one. A lot of stuff coming down the pike in the near future. Congrats to those who are picking this up, great looking figure.
