Interesting. I can't save it to my wallet. I wonder if the code's good thru the 5th?

When I went to look at eligible items it said it expired November 5th GMT, so I guess technically it's done, but it still lets me add to an item if I'm not logged in. I already used it on the Sandtrooper though so can't check out to say for sure.

Nope, expired. Just cancelled and tried to reorder. Monthly code is dead.

I have to admit, I've never used codes and I don't even know how, that's how rarely I've ordered directly from Sideshow. Can anyone help a brother out? Is there some code right now I can use to get a decent discount?

There's a monthly $20 code. This month was SP00KY15 (with zeroes) but it seems to have just expired earlier today. You add it during check out. Usually mid month people start getting them with their orders and post them on the boards.

Every bit counts. For me it knocks off shipping.

Wor, it let you add the code during checkout but then said it was expired when you tried to place the order?

I'm thinking November will be something turkey or Thanksgiving related. Last year was gobble if I recall. .

Yes, that is correct. Since you can only order one, I had to cancel my original order to reorder a new one with code... but upon placing the order, it said "the code you used is invalid" or something like that. It worked all the way up to actually placing the order. Pretty lame.

Shipping seems expensive on this figure. Ben was $10 and the Han/Chewie set was $20.52 shipping to Texas. This one is $18.02. Guess it is a big box for one figure.

Are there anymore ways HT will reuse this mold? Apart from Han and variant Sandtroopers and no doubt releasing it again for Rogue One.

I just wish the backpack and tube came off. I'm only getting this one because I'm collecting all the OT HT.

It's $40 to the UK + the $10 packout so $50 :( Then there is the 20% tax on the cost of the figure AND the shipping. I wish i could only pay $18.02 (though you are right that does seem expensive for domestic and the box is no bigger than the usual HT boxes).

SS sent me an email last Monday saying that orders would start processing 4th November.

According to my credit card balance it looks like mine was already charged.

The status has changed to 'Item Shipping Soon'.

Mine would have also shipped today if I hadn't cancelled and reordered with a coupon last week. Another two weeks for now.

Some figures get flat shipping deals where it's $10 flat no matter where you are in the US. The other ones are calculated based on location and always seems to be between $16 and $22 in the US.

Not sure how they decide what gets flat shipping.

There are variations in troopers between ANH, ESB and RotJ so I'm hopeful we'll see multiple repackages of OT Stormtroopers.

And these are the people that seem to release a new Iron Man variation every 30 days so it's always possible we'll see more.

Seems like stuff everyone is going to buy in large numbers and can find anywhere has the best chance of flat shipping. No surprise an exclusive like this doesn't.

The Luke exclusive has flat shipping, but I suppose they will sell a lot more of those. The toy fair exclusives doesn't seem very exclusive anymore, they linger for months.

Luke's available in a lot more places than the Spacetrooper though.

I think Pixel's right, it's about fleecing a captive audience!

However, the last figure I know that had $40 shipping to the UK was Artoo. In that case it seemed they were making up for a lower priced item.

They don't think they'll sell many Sandtrooper or Boba figures? Looking a bit further it seems like they've moved away from it on a lot of the newer Star Wars as none of the TFA figures have the $10 shipping. Unless it sometimes changes when items get closer to in-stock? :dunno

I remember someone saying they spoke to a Sideshow CS rep and they said it was Hot Toys that determined which figures had $10 shipping, though that doesn't make much sense to me.

Since the packages require a signature I usually have it shipped to the workplace. When ordering from Sideshow, Is there a way to just have it sent for pickup at my local UPS facility?
