Re: Hot Toys - MMS - CA: Civil War - Captain America Figure

Hasn't Stark retired twice now? For a guy who keeps retiring, he sure knows how to suit back up again..

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - CA: Civil War - Captain America Figure

Tony has never retired. He NEVER retired at the end of Iron Man 3, he literally just wiped the slate clean and started anew. But yeah he's never stopped being Iron Man.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - CA: Civil War - Captain America Figure

Yeah. Just curious how he lost the A symbol? Guess we won't find out until may. :lol

Gonna assume we see him with the A on his shoulder until he decides to do whatever he decides to do, at that point he probably no longer considers himself an Avenger so took it off his uniform.

IM3 made it sound like he was retiring but the line "I am Iron Man" made it clear he was just taking things more like he did before Avengers, he was still Iron Man during the events of Winter Soldier (and an Avenger as he was living in the Avengers Tower) which was after the events of IM3 as JARVIS mentioned collating information from the SHIELD servers.

He took a step back as an Avenger after AoU but again that doesn't mean he stopped being Iron Man, I doubt he will only stop tinkering with new suits when he is physically unable (and even then I doubt it)

Yeah....At some point Cap cut tide with the Avengers. Man....can't wait to see this. :impatient:

Iron man 3....so pepper is still that extremis thing? And what purpose did it serve Tony to blow up all his suits if he was just going to keep fighting in suits?

Nah Tony said he fixed Pepper.

And Tony blew up all those suits cause he made those during the time he was suffering from PTSD and so the clean slate protocol was to do away with all those suits and literally start from scratch. It was like a cleanse for him. Plus, what Harley said, he's a mechanic, he can always just build something. Build more, and better suits.

I missed the part about him fixing her.

The MCU movie I've the least amount of times is Thor: TDW at about 5 times. By I've seen every movie at least 5 times or way more. Got to 30 viewings of The Avengers right before Age of Ultron came out and TWS is at like 25 or so. Ant-Man and Age of Ultron are catching up and a lot of the Phase 1 movies. Seen Season 1 of Daredevil a good 3 times, Jessica Jones 3 times as well. God Damn do I have too much time on my hands. XD

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - CA: Civil War - Captain America Figure

Hoping they put Cap up for pre-order soon! I think the overall figure will be better than the WS and AOU ones due to their experience with those designs. They should be able to fix the chest issues and the inside knee pads.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - CA: Civil War - Captain America Figure

I think this will finally be the Captain America that I order. Missed out on the Age of Ultron version which was a a good looking figure and this suit is fairly similar.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - CA: Civil War - Captain America Figure

I don't see why he wouldn't

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - CA: Civil War - Captain America Figure

What price you guys think on CW Cap?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - CA: Civil War - Captain America Figure

Depending on what other accessories that he may have, I will wager $274.99

You think so? Nah too much. Thats IM territory, non diecast. Maybe if it was DX with the moving eyes. AOU Cap wasn't that much and he had magnets. I would think $210-225.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - CA: Civil War - Captain America Figure

I wonder if he will have a magnetic shield like the AOU cap? Possibly the same metal shield?

Shield will be die-cast, but it won't be magnetic. In fact, I think the prototype pictures in this thread of the figure, you can kind of see in some that the shield has straps on it.

In CW he goes back to using his traditional strapped shield, so I don't see why the figure wouldn't reflect that also. The magnetic shield on AoU Cap was simply meant to emulate his magnetic shield in AoU.

What price you guys think on CW Cap?

I'm guessing $230-ish out the door, all costs included.
