Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

On spoilers. I'm avoiding anything Uncharted 4 related right now. I won't even 'like' links on Facebook at the moment because then comments start appearing in your feed. It's so hard unless you go into complete darkness. Too much is shown before a movie or game come out. I think there are top level spoils and lower level spoils.

A major spoil to me is a really important detail ruined from the movie/game/tv... Like the twist ending of every single M. Night Shyamalan movie. Obviously I won't post any of those from the Civil War movie. Then there are the detail leaks, which range anything from the coolness factor of the latest Iron Man suit-up (didn't we all want to be suprised by the MkVII suit-up against Loki?) to 'you know who' appearing in the airport scene, which 98% of us all know because of the Lego and Pop Vinyl info leaking. Less is best, but I do think people can get a bit precious about some of the gifs. I'm not sure Scarlet Witch getting her red on in her corset is that much of a spoil.

I also do think though, there is kind of a implied time frame, especially with TV. It really annoys me when I'm posting in a thread about The Walking Dead for instance and someone gets upset because a moment was spoiled for them from 3 seasons ago. Seriously, why are you even in a thread for a show where at least two or three billed cast die a season, and inevitably each season the location changes.. and then get upset for finding out someone died 3 years ago?

I suppose in the case of Civil War, once it's had public release on bluray/dvd, it really is fair game after a few weeks...

I have to say, after seeing the movie I actually like 46 less than I did before... But I'll still probably get it eventually... 45 is still my favorite armor to date.

No I'm the same. I think it is the onscreen palette vs what the figure has. I actually prefer the figure tones. Given the detail and points of difference between Iron Man and other MCU figures, for the price of shipping a sixth scale to my country, I think I'd rather have the quarter scale 45, than both the sixth scale 45 and 46 added to my collection..

Yeah I loved seeing the movie before you.
Why the heck should America get everything first ?

I'm not saying we should've gotten it first. It should've come out at the same time worldwide.

Not to give anything away about CW but aside from the cool armor up scene, I agree, the Mk. 46 wasn't as impressive as the Mk. 45 ON SCREEN.

Obviously opinions can change after both figures are in hand but for now, both the 1/6 & 1/4 Mk. 45 look better.

Just my 2 cents.

Well, technically we are further ahead on the date/time line down here, so we should always be first (by a few hours).... :blissy :panic: :stick

Hahaha point taken. Still would've been easier to avoid spoiler-riddled gifs and memes.

Umm so? I find it amazing that you think you have that right.

I used as few words as I could. Sorry the point is still lost on you. :dunno

At any rate you'd think they'd want their US film base to not pirate it if that is indeed the larger market. I always thought the foreign market was what they counted on to pad the numbers.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

After seeing the movie.. They're both great suits, but I prefer the look of the 45 a tiny bit better. But it's close.. And I'll definitely be getting both, no doubt.

I really hope hot toys is able to arm up the 46 and war machine mark 3 prior to their releases.

I have to admit I was stirring on my first post about this.

I don't see it really matters if you see a film first or last. You will always, always have a ******** spoil things especially on the net because it's so easy to with no consequences to that person.

All the people telling me that it should have been released first in America because of all the ties to America are just kidding themselves and trying to justify a reason to as why it didn't open there.

It all very simple. EVERY company makes decisions based on financial gain. There would some guy in an office saying "we need to do it this way to get the biggest financial return"

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Glad I placed an order for this on BBTS before it sold out. Saw the movie this morning. Really enjoyed it. I passed on the 45 armor because I'm more of a sucker for a RDJ headsculpt than anything else. I've unloaded a few figures lately, but as soon as I saw the un-helmeted head included, I knew I'd be picking this up.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Feel the need to point out that Tony
only had one armor in this movie.
Multiple people scoffed when I said a couple of times that I thought that could be the case. How you like me now? Haha

ah right as in privilege... read that was right as in correct... **** was baffling.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

I'll probably be picking this up. I really dug the suit and it's the best look in my opinion. Mark 46 against cap and bucky display will be a win win.

That's gonna be my display as well and I think a lot of collectors will be doing the same.:hi5:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Finished watching the movie and it's was EPIC!!! I'm even more excited to get him now. I really would like the damage parts with him instead of having a separate figure like the cap one, but you know hot toys they wil probably do that anyways.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

I will be ordering this, I just want all the RP from my POs to become active before I do so... I'd love to take away as much of the sting, from the price, out.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

i don't know why, but i've never been a fan of tony's full head being exposed while he's wearing the suit.. whether on screen or with the toy. to me, it just looks a little goofy. i wish they had included a helmeted stark sculpt. i'm not annoyed about it though considering he never appeared that way in the actual movie, so it wouldn't make sense for them to include something like that. it's just a personal preference. now, i will be bit disappointed if they don't include his forearm weapon.

the more i look at this figure the more i'm finding other little things that i like about it. like the color scheme on the hands, the design of his gauntlets, the design of his ribcage area, the little vents on his collar bone area, the design of his shoulder pads, the silver designs on his lower legs.. this armor is starting to grow on me more and more. it's getting closer and closer to overtaking the 45 as my favorite.. but i still prefer the 45.

the two armors both look fantastic, i love the shine and the sheen of the 45, and i love the more toned down look of the 46.

boy this is going to be a long wait for this. at least the 45 should be out soon and in the US in a couple months.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

the chest and shoulder design is just miles above every other suit. the way its cut at the pectorals and the angles are just right. makes the other suits look clunky at the chest.

i wouldn't be surprised if they had some automotive designers on the latest suits.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

Saw the movie last night and it was a great film. I will definitely be getting this armor, all the lights make the suit look even better. I'm going to hold off pre ordering, in hopes of a battle damaged version.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

The Mark VI is still my favorite from a design and color-blocking standpoint. The little bit of silver on it goes a long way. But this armor is definitely up there. Just wish there was a little bit more gold somewhere on the thighs just to break up all that red. I just saw completely red legs, especially during the final battle. Although, that may be from an on-screen perspective vs figure perspective.

I think this is a designs that lends itself to an amazing figure, similar to the Mk45. On-screen the 45 was eh, but the figure looks amazing. I think seeing them static in the form of a figure really allows details and designs elements to shine, things you miss when they're moving around on-screen.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS353 D16 - CA: Civil War - Mark XLVI Collectible Figure

When will we see the RDJ sculpt on this? How much time was there between Paul Rudd's and Chris Pratt's?

Also fully paid for mine to get the timed discount. :yess: Saved me 40 EUR.
