1/6 Hot Toys - MMS400 D18 - Iron Man 2 - Mark V Diecast Figure

34?? Must be a beginner. I have 61 Iron Man/ Tony Starks. I have Diecast Mark II, V, IV, and IV and Gantry on preorder. I also have the Infinity Wars Iron Man preordered as well.

I’m not sure how many I’m at. I stopped counting a few years ago. But I buy them all. It’s an issue. I have a storage unit just for my hot toys. Plus there’s a bunch in my basement. Then what I have on display. I’m gonna stop getting the Star Wars stuff I think though. Just to much and I have like three displayed.

Honestly neither the 46 or 47 made a huge impression on me in the actual movies, but as HT figures they suddenly look a whole lot cooler for some reason. Possibly because the color pops a lot more now without that grayish, washed out color tone Marvel likes to use. Or because they don't have that vaguely CG look they usually have on screen.

I was sold on the 46 during the 3rd act. It looked so much better inside that facility versus the airport scene. The red has much more depth to it in dimmer lighting. And yeah, I agree with the CG comment. I try so hard to immerse myself into the movies, but sometimes there are just a few movements where the physics are just a hair off that it reminds you of the CG. The HT figures literally put the armor in my hand and there's just so much more appreciation that can be given to something physically tangible where you can see every detail up close.

I remember you saying some time ago that you collected every MMS, is that still the case?

Yea , I canceled all my Hot toys Star Wars orders. There’s no way I could afford or find room for them . Staying away from Star Wars all together . Sticking with Marvel , cool model , 303 toys , Kaustic plastic

Yep, currently still the case. But I’m gonna be changing that at some point. Or I think I will. Can’t seem to do it yet. Lol just don’t have the space to keep this up. Lol

Yeah got that on PO. It’s one I’ve been looking forward to for awhile. Only had two Star Wars figures when I was younger and it was that one and storm trooper Luke. So those are musts for me. I’ve got everything currently available or up for PO in order. I just need to stop ordering everything. It’s a problem lol

Yeah that’s the other thing..other companies are finally putting out decent product so I’ve got to deal with that too. The Assassin creed figures are looking great. The fallout figures are awesome. The new mondo masters of the universe stuff. Just to much.

No. Sideshow sent us a delay notice. Hopefully we get it by May/June. Bloggers and Asian sellers do not even have it in hand and it usually arrives domestically at least 30 days after they get theirs. In addition, Hot Toys will post "Final Product Photos" on their Facebook page right before launch in Asia. Since none of that has happened yet, we won't have it for a while. Definitely not Q1 2018.

Yeah I meant in Hong Kong. I don't consider Sideshow shipment dates the release dates.

Been wanting to see the new features on this one with the chest plate and legs. Looks awesome, totally unique suit. Also, that headsculpt has been blurred for far too long.

Yeah the Sideshow dates are not what to go by. It’s as much about when people should have funds ready and setting up flex to be paid then it is about actual release dates. Most the time Sideshow has nearly identical (or before) dates to what hot toys says for Hong Kong release.

Like this one people think has been delayed and are talking about production issues because of the bump from Sideshow but the figure hasn’t even passed hot toys anticipated release yet, so it’s not really a delay.

I fear the headsculpt we are going to receive is that really awful one that will be included with the new DC Mk IV...the one that looks like Brad Pitt.

In other news, the Mark V has been released! The one shot with the headsculpt was very underwhelming. Looked like the same headsculpt from the upcoming Mark IV.

Oh wow! Nice.

On one hand I don't care that much about the headsculpt, but then again with the 46 and 47 sculpts being so good, this one's sculpt likely will be disappointing.

Nice. I think I have to pass on this. But very tempting. I'm a sucker for battle damage and this figure looks amazing with all of the BD parts.

Good catch guys, but, UGH! I'm upset, but not surprised they went with the Brad Pitt headsculpt. I'm loving the Diecast upgrade, so I'll probably end up getting it, but will def never use that supposed RDJ portrait.
