That body doesn't fill out the suit correctly unfortunately. You can't really switch bodies on this figure to get him skinnier unless you're going to unsow and resow the suit itself as well.

It's not really camera distortion though, Luke head is definitely sitting a fair amount higher off the body and relative to the collar than Hamill or the stock HT figure.

The chin to clavicle ratio looks fine, I'd say it's the lack of traps that's making the neck look too long. Even in that Hamill photo there's a fair bit of taper.

I wonder how many collectors are gonna just pop the HT sculpt into the upcoming SS ROTJ Luke. Also if he’s going to be too tall like some of their other releases.

That actually looks really good man. Great job. :hi5:

thanks a lot. I really appreciate it.

You made that whole outfit?

No. Sorry. Maybe I wasn’t clear. I took in the HT tunic in three separate places so it was a lot more slender.
It’s not hard to do. I think a lot of people don’t realise there are three tiny stitches in the front. Nick them with a scalpel blade and the tunic comes off just a normal jacket. Once you do that, it’s way easier to alter the thing.

Nice! Amazing how much better the head looks on a proper looking body. I’ll never understand why HT made Luke so bloated.

Thanks. Here's the body i used:

I removed the original neck, and slimmed down the groin area. I removed the pvc area under the armpits to allow for the arms to get closer to his sides, beefed up the traps and dremelled down the legs(The surface was a bit rough so i strapped them with electrical tape).

I have a question for those that have both this guy and the HT Jedi Luke.

I bought a loose griping mechanical hand from this guy thinking maybe it would look cool on my Jedi Luke, and maybe use it for his lightsaber since HT annoyingly didn't include a black gloved right lightsaber holding hand but only the closed fist. Also thought it would look cool next to Anakin with his mechanical arm & hand as well. But when I swapped hands and popped it on it just kinda flops around and is very loose. Are the wrist pegs for this TFA EPVII Luke different/slightly larger than the ones that come with the Jedi Luke? If they are different I'd like to find a wrist peg that would work better.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can answer and help me out...

:duff

I posted this over in the TFA Luke thread about a month ago but never got an answer. So I decided to quote myself and post it here. :lol

I hope a fellow freak can answer this for me or perhaps post a picture if they have done this as well. Surprised to see no one else has done this, or at least posted it.

Thanks. Here's the body i used:

Hey Barry! Where did you get that lightsaber? The blade looks really nice. Pointy.

After reading all the of the problems of putting the light up arm in people had I never bothered trying it.
But after a few months of having him I've just given it a go and it went in straight away with no problem with the cuff been tight at all.

A very pleasant surprise, must be a fabled batch two version which corrects all the batch one issues [emoji6]

I think I got a batch one version, and the one time I did swap out the arm when I first received the figure, I had no issues fitting it through the cuff.

I gave in and ordered this... He looks amazing and a perfect representation of his self from ROTJ. His ROTJ look has always been what I visualise Luke Skywalker straight away when I think of him - even more so than his ESB and ANH looks.

I am going to pose him in front of my two RO and ESB Vaders.

I got one from Sideshow and the sleeve was easy to swap the saber arm. The other one I got from BBTS a few weeks later had a tight cuff. Very difficult to get in but I finally managed it.

To those that have him, are there any parts that require careful consideration when removing/replacing?

When my RO Vader arrived, the velcro square fell off from the armor immediately due to poor glueing. Anything like that on this figure? How is the belt velcro?
