No need thank me, just trying to state the obvious. Again, we live in society where 1. people are super sensitive and you have to be on your toes for saying something someone 'may' find offensive. and 2. racism is not a joking matter and is thrown around way too much. Every negative thing said towards someone, or someone's country or someone's race is automatically deemed racist. Not true. How many foreigners think Americans are fat and stupid? Many people around the world think this. That doesn't make them racist, just stereotypical. Sorry to go off topic, but had to be said.

I will happily pick this up and put my SS robe on him.

How is this racist? Stereotypical maybe but not racist. No need to apologize for it. Racism= 'I'm white and my race is better than yours.' Stereotypical= 'I'm white and live in the mountains and married my cousin.'

Big difference. Him assuming foreigners don't pay attention to accuracy isn't racist. Just assuming. Race card is thrown around in today's society way too much. and BTW i am not white. Hispanic actually.

Getting back to this figure, how can Hot Toys goof up the robe's length so badly? As someone mentioned earlier, perhaps the material can be stretched out further?

Was watching this yesterday and for the first time I was really thinking how sad of a scene it is. Ewan McGregor did an outstanding job as he stood on the hillside watching his brother in arms, who’s limbs he had just been pushed to chop off, burn and suffer. As he stood there he must have wondered how this young boy who’s he been with since adolescence came to be filled with so much hate to the point that he was forced to strike him down and leave him for dead. Fighting Anakin must have been a painful emotional endeavor in itself.

Makes you wonder what would have happened is QuiGon had just left Anakin to his mother and they never had a chance encounter...

Getting back to this figure, how can Hot Toys goof up the robe's length so badly? As someone mentioned earlier, perhaps the material can be stretched out further?

Simple.. they miscalculated the length with the hood up with sculpted hair. Although it’s messy, you can push or flatten rooted hair on a doll or figure. I can clearly see HT put too much emphasis on getting the hood to square evenly with the shoulders that they stitched it too high which causes the bunching around the shoulders , that bunchiness needs to be more smoother and flow evenly downward. So less bunching would give the length we need

Anyone worried about the detailing on the head sculpt should take a look at this review, around 9.30 in he shows a real crisp close up of the head sculpt. Looks excellent IMO.

I mean, it's nowhere near as close as the promo, which is what we were talking about.
There are definitely differences. The production sculpt is longer and overly "chiseled", which makes it look off to me. The promo looked much closer to Anakin IMO. Don't get me wrong, the sculpt is still decent, but it's not in the same league as what the promo pics were advertising at all.





If I didn't know that was the actual figure, I'd probably assume it could be a KO sculpt. Hopefully more reviews and pics come out showing it can at least look better with proper lighting or in-hand, but so far it's disappointing how much worse than the promo it got.

Damn. Was hoping this figure wouldn't lose much from proto to production. The sculpt to me looks like it went from a 9.5/10 to about a 7.5/10. An 8 if I'm being generous.
