You don't send you head to Kit for a repaint, that's not what he does. He sells ready made and painted heads. So if or when they get made, they will be available with the click of a mouse and boom you got it.

Exactly. And even if they do it’s a bootleg sculpt, so whatever your feelings are regarding that.

T-squared is an amazing painter based on everything I’ve seen of his so for the price he quoted I’m sure you’d be happy. Plus the rest of the figure would have the standard HT paint job, whereas the one sixth kit sculpt (again, if it even happens) might have a more shrunken head and a slightly reduced quality paint application (though usually still decent).

I would keep an eye on a good deal for the real sculpt if you go the painted route. Toy Anxiety has a thread here where they announce when a new figure has been broken down and sold for parts. I believe they said they would be breaking down Anakin in the near future.

That’s another option as well. If OSK puts one out, their bootleg sculpts are roughly $30. I got a bootleg heat vision sculpt for my BvS Superman from OSK and it’s basically an exact copy of the HT sculpt. Only a very subtle quality difference in the sense where you can kind of see a molding partition in the middle of the hair. Not very discernible though unless you’re looking for it.

But you can also just pick up a spare genuine HT sculpt off of TA, but then you’d have to pay the price of that, plus the price to have it painted. Guessing that’d be more than $30.

That’s true, sometimes the bootlegs aren’t shrunken. I got one strictly for Rey when I have the head gear on (since Hot Toys warned it could damage the sculpt) and that one seemed the same size. Though I never really looked closely since it was always covered up.

But the OSK is still just a maybe at this point. If someone really wants it that might not be good enough.

Went and picked him up at the Post Office today - couldn't wait until Monday when he'd get delivered to work.



Wow...what a figure. If you want this character in your collection and are on the fence....get off that fence and order! What an awesome figure - just beautiful in hand. I've been okay with the Sideshow version all these years but now that this amazing version is here...well, no contest! I think that once more folks get this one and start posting more great shots and sharing positive feedback, we're going to see this one disappear pretty quick.



I'm going to have a blast taking shots of this one.

I am SO glad I ordered ROTS Kenobi and the Dooku. Very delighted that HT is hitting the PT now. Not gonna go nuts like the Sideshow days, but...if the offerings come out looking this good, then bring 'em on!
