I'm pretty unimpressed with this announcement. I'd have been better off buying this one as it has more included with it.....and buying a loose head from the standard release. It's a very poor show from hot toys not to have included that sculpt with the standard release.

I think they're both nice. As I mentioned in the other thread, it would've been great if it was an "all-in-one".

That said, I think the Sith Sculpt will look great in some poses, where the normal version doesn't look as good, and visa versa. And I'm sure lighting and all will have a big impact on that as well.

Either way, we finally got an HT Anakin in general. So that's awesome! Here's hoping we get some quality sculpts from OSK or elsewhere for those who want the other version

I prefer him without the robe and you'd have to leave the robe on with the Sith eyes for it to be movie accurate.

or you can cut his arms and legs off, and have him do the whole "I hate you!" scene. Also movie accurate!

TBH the coolest part to me about the exclusive is the base... I'm hoping my GF can pick it up for me at SDCC. She's working a booth there, so maybe I can convince her to open an account and order it since I guess the name has to match the order >_>

I talked to support via chat and they said they May have stock come available on site later. I bet they will but don’t want to have this exclusive version competing with the normal release they have stock for now.

I don't remember an SDCC exclusive ever selling out at the show itself. Once they go online, different story of course...

They’re the same figure. One looks like it has hepatitis, the other doesn’t.

The Dark Side version has the same problem as the upcoming Emperor Palpatine figure. They made the irises too dark. They don't even look like Sith eyes.

Gotta admit, when I first saw the promo pics on facebook (Hot's Toys banner change for example) I though his eyes were closed. Not very well executed at all. Less evil Anakin and more sleepy need a nap after a bunch of killing Anakin.

Wow, that added yellow to the eyes looks SO much better. Hope HT sees this. But then again, if I can't get the figure anyways if it's indeed a con release, what's the point.
