Geil after u removed the red socket from the neck ..does the head feel loose ..and how is it 4 posing

OK I felt a lil adventurous today and after seeing what the guy could do I just felt even more compelt to try on my own.
So the nec mod above works pretty well for Tony's head and how about the IMBD neck ;)
- split the neck open at the seam (was much harder than the nude neck but still doable
- again you see the rubber socket (red) that has been inserted inot the neck mold. I just completely removed it and reassembled the neck and pushed it in. The "colar" of the suit is snug enough to hold the neck in place and voila!!! lost about 1/8" in neck length which is sufficient to me :D

Ill be doing this mod when I get mine I like the way it looks...

Nice mods on the neck Geil. I'm still not skill enough to take apart mine.

Not a lot of skill there :p. Just a good knife and brute force :lol. The lower portion of the neck at the seamnis a bit scratched up but not visible when installed so it's worth doing. I guess the skill part plays into it that I still have all my fingers

without the socket the head is loose but it's not too bad as the colar of the suit holds it in place/position. It won't just fall out or slowly tilt or anything. One could start chopping away at the socket and remove as much from the inside end as possible to shoten the overall dimension and then glue it in but I am too lazy for that as this will work for me :D
I didn't pose it much yet as I only did this shortly before I went to bed. You may actually have more articulation now that it really is just held in place by the colar. Hmm gotto try the beaten down pose again.... Oh that's with the Tony head nvm

ones you get yor knife to split the seam on one corner the rest will easily pry open

To disassemble the torso....

1. pop the 2 hard screw cover out, unscrew.

2. pop the arms out of the ball sockets.

3. peel the reddish rubber (Pic:Right, middle) from the shoulder hole. They are attached by glue to the front and back piece at the edge. (Actually you just need to peel it from either, front/back torso piece, as the shoulder sockets it attached to the back, it maybe better to just peel the front).

4. Grip the front and back piece and carefully pull them apart.

5. They might have glue the abdomen rubber piece to the front piece as well (at least my copy.

.....just the screws and the rubber pieces covering the shoulder hole keeping the pieces together.

p.s. Mk,3 ver. 1 has 4 screws.... 2 are hidden by under the shoulder flaps at top (glue attached, that you'll have to pry out).

Does the chest come apart after the two screws are off on the back? Or do I take the screws out, pop the arms off and then the chest will come apart?

Also in step 3, when you say to pull the redish rubber piece, are you talking about that one piece above the arms in your pic?

In step 4, you are talking about pull the chest apart right?

im still debating if i should open up the figure to hide the wires =/

is this normal? I cannot push the shoulder armor all the way down unless the chest piece is off.

I look at my Mark III BD after see the tutorial for mods and i can see he's staring back at me at say "Don't ever think about it" :lol

What's this? Sortening the neck? Dunno if I wnat to do that. Any after pics?

Go back a few pages Eamon ..I posted a bunch of them

Some would argue that chopping up the fig is worth it when this look can be achieved ..i may just mod the head socket but not the ball joint,it would be like geils mod except the head would stay on if turned upside down.
