I would love to, and I did try, but you can't really get a 'frame' of the Loader lifting it's foot up to take a step -- obviously the thing would topple over. So instead it looks like it's shuffling toward you -- which isn't very exciting.

Not sure how comfortable you are in photoshop, but depending on how many frames you'd have to make it walk, you could always do a "green screen" trick and place something under the elevated foot to keep it standing, then use photoshop to remove it after.

Thanks for the tip about the back pistons - I was about ready to return it. Of course I still broke one of them. I had it fastened and tried to extend it and the black coupler came off. A pretty easy glue job though, nothing is actually broken.

I put off putting her together but now that I have, I have to say that it's one of the more impressive pieces we've ever seen.

Man! Those back pistons!!!! Glad most of you are getting them working.

And WORGAR! Cool Gif bro! :rock
To think, you guys have your PL now! IT IS REAL! The day has come!
Congrats to all who have their's, and to those who will!

I will post new pics of mine, along with vid or two soon. Mine is repainted, pretty much. So is the Ripley. Can't figure out how to make her madder looking (DARRENNNN!!!!! Help! REALLY ANGRY RIPLEYS NEEDED ASAP! :D )

Anyway, glad all is working out for the most part for everyone.

After you, sir. :lol

Guys, I'm buried in work, didn't even see mine in daylight until this morning, will do some touch-ups and the such then do a pic set and vid. I do have it built, but still need to hose it up. :D

Flamethrower Note: Because it looks too toyish plastic, I scratched it up with a silver sharpie, then used fine sandpaper to take the shine away, looks great, but don't sand too hard, yellow plastic underneath.

Reiny, what'd you use to change the look of your flamethrower, I'm guessing paint, but I'd love to hear the specifics.

3 steps:
1. drybrush "metallic copper" all over
2. drybrush "raw sienna" in certain places to give a worn look
3. drybrush "metallic silver" lightly

all paints are Folk Art and can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

Who cares! That looks BAD ASS Bro! :rock

Yup, even if it's not film accurrate, it's worn out, used machinery looking and only adds to the ability for a casual viewer to believe that it's a true miniature replica of a machine. That was one of the best things about ALIEN and ALIENS, everything felt used and worn and old, nothing ever felt brand new aside from that space station Ripley was on briefly at the beginning of ALIENS.

I got my loader a couple of hours ago.
I didn't have much of a problem with the back pistons, one was stuck, and the black cap came off. I think it wasn't glued on at all, not much of a problem. The other piston wasn't stuck, it moves pretty well.
Got that one piston unstuck with a bit more force, no issues there.

But the cage lights won't turn on. The dome light works though. I read the instructions, it didn't clearly say that the cage lights up with the same button. So is there another button or some trick?

I'd HATE to return another Hot Toys product. I've been having nothing but problems with their stuff lately. :(
I think I'd rather just keep this and suffer with a defective product then try and return it.
:banghead

The one button activates all lights on mine. Sorry Screamin'. Try rattling it around a bit or smacking the side of the cage. Might just be a loose connection.

I do wish they had a separate button for the cage lights though, as I might leave those on and skip the noisy siren light.

thanks guys! yeah, it's black in the film, and looks a bit worn, but i'm going to keep mine how it is... for now.

:rock :rock :rock

YEAH, BABY! RUSTED OUT BAD ASS REINY FLAME THROWER RULES!

I'm keeping mine black, though. :lol Guys just sand the sheen off and add some silver sharpie scratches and you're good to go, BUT, Reiny's will always rule, looks like a flame just shot out of it.

Actually my horizontal light bar is full bright, the vertical is half bright, I'm gonna try changing out for new batteries and see what happens but my Rip face is fully illuminated so I don't care all that much, it rocks!

I think I might just take Reiny's lead and try something inbetween black and that totally rusted look... I really like the rusted style, but I think it will look TOO REAL next to the plastic-asss Power Loader. :lol
