I messed with the contrast levels and it kind of appears to show a full mask... still not positive though..

actually on second look, the BD mask doesn't have lens on the left eye, this one appears to have lens on both eyes.

Now I'm 99% sure it's intact. Notice how on the battle-damaged version, the torn area begins underneath the left lens, fairly close to the center of the helmet? I don't see any tear at all on that brightened/contrasted photo, and at that angle, we would have seen it clearly.

If that mask has both lens (as we can see), then, it must be different (an undamaged ) than the damaged mask because the damaged mask only has the right lens

So, about $300 total...maybe a little more.

I've had this guy like this for about a year. I'll hold off putting him back together until I get this Classic Predator.

Well then I think the damaged mask is slightly undamaged with two lenses, while the undamaged closely resembles the damaged mask because of the proper lenses used for the undamaged mask.

I don't know how much more conclusive this can get. This is proof that is definitely a complete mask.

And here, from another angle. I sharpened it a bit in Photoshop.

There are 2 lenses on there for sure.

Regardless of whoever was right, it's just a better idea to wait until we get the official images and specifications. After all, there's going to be speculation around some other thing when that moment comes, and it won't be settled until the thing gets released!

But... patience rarely plays a part in this hobby.

Wait for official images and specs? Now, where's all the fun in that? I actually find it fun to read all the fighting about who's right or wrong. When I first joined this forum I had no idea how much fun it would be.

Is there a reason why HT would show a battle damaged helmet by itself AND on the figure other than to show that its a non battle damaged version coming with the figure as well??? And the pic obviously shows that its the non battle damaged version so we will be getting both the Classic Battle Damaged Bio and a non battle damaged to make those looking to make the ultimate P1 happy.

It looks like a complete mask to me, but many where debating if the mask was removable from the SDCC pics. It could be HT is showing that it is removable. I don't think HT has released a Pred with two heads because you can remove the mask and remove the mandibles.

wishful thinking goes a long way toward not having to blow $600 for a P1 on ebay. everybody is under the impression they just need to slap a new mask and some bones on it when in reality there's a bunch of differences. and there's gonna be some silly threads popping up about how to turn this into an elder too.

Most fans will think this new classic is close enough I think. Not to many have really great shots of the real P1. I was very lucky that my buddy Shawn Nagle had a friend that took great pics of the original prop standing in Winston's shop. The right and left gauntlets were the originals. The only thing missing was the back pack. I think most fans will think this new one is close enough and that will work for them. Looking at the pics though I can see HT only used the original P1 for the body and mask shapes. Everything else is dead on classic but still it'll be cool. I wondering if HT makes a new P1 just how much will they change it. I have a feeling it won't be much at all. Maybe the left shoulder pad and I think they'll be thinking most fans will be happy enough with that and the bones necklace parts. I don't think HT is into spending long hours trying to dig up reference to get the figures accurate. Good example is when Tsang was sculpting the Alien he had the McFarlane figure near by. HT Alien ended up having the same tail and round calves as the McFarlane. They did a great job on the Classic and they had great reference to go by.
